Is there a decent chance that Alito can be sworn in before the State of the Union address? Does anyone know the date of the State of the Union address?

This Kohl is a moron. Asks if SCOTUS judges should reflect 'popular opinion'. Alito giving him a dose of Constiution 101. Short answer, of course, is no.
I am sure Mr. Sam will be more expansive in educationg the big dummies. Sheesh

"I think Cspan callers are scams."
I don't know about that. Two callers after yesterday's session brought up Mary Jo and one suggested Kennedy should be in prison rather than in the Senate.

Great on Alito's part
Alito: If the founders had wanted judges to make decisions based on public opinion, they would have made them elected. But lots of decisions lie in the political branches so people can have control over their destinies. Soveriegnty lies in the people.

Why do the Dems think that arrogance and a slimy character (Schumer and Biden) are winning attributes to office. They should ask Kerry because he'll tell them it doesn't always work.

Thanks for the heads up. Here is the question I sent:
Do you find it ironic that a man who got kicked out of Harvard for cheating, and then later left a woman to drown in four feet of water yet didn't report it until much later would have the effrontery to lecture you on ethics?
