Now the witnesses are puzzled!

Sessions and Phillips are trying to unpuzzle young Liu who probably doesn't care if law enforcement officers have any protections while on the job.

Leahy says that the congressional research group says that bush has violated the law with the wiretaps

Does anyone even have the access to the information and people necessary to conduct any kind of investigation?

Somebody ought to let the Republicans on the panel know about Justice O'Connor's stance in that particular case. It was early in her tenure on the court and apparently, like others, her judicial mindset changed over time, but her opinion and Judge Alito's opinion were the same for that period in 1985 and their opinion reflected much of what many state laws said on the matter.

I'm sure the Oriental professor knew of Justice O'Connor's dissenting opinion in Tennessee v Garner and it's amazing that he was able to cite the Alito memo on the matter with a straight face.

Inscrutable.

LOL. Well, well, well. And thank you Cboldt. Let the lies continue.

Re: Garner case ...you seem to know alot about these items. Please keep posting it is great to know more.

Indeed, I concur. There is so much information flying by so fast, that repetition is really necessary in order to get a handle on the arguments.

The Garner case came up a couple days ago too -- here area couple links to links ;-)
