Day 4: Hearing Resumes
This morning, Senators will question Judge Alito during a third round. They will then go into a closed session, to review the FBI background investigation on the Supreme Court nominee. Outside witnesses may be called to testify this afternoon, as well as the American Bar Association, to discuss its recommendations.
THURS., 9:00AM ET, C-SPAN

The really frustrating thing is that the idiots that vote these morons into office will never see this because they'll be too busy watching American Idol and going to the mall.
After listening to all of these lib judges gush with praise for Alito, I've become concerned that a Republican president has misfired yet again. It appears we've ended up with another O'Connor or Kennedy who is all caution and deference to liberal precedent and has no moxy whatsoever to do what needs doing to turn the court around!
Am I alone in this concern?
I'm continually reminded of the admonition: "Stare decisis is fo' suckas"
Funny thing, that thought never crossed my mind. I just assume the DEMs will employ all means of dishonest argument to get their way.
does anyone know if we'll hear from Unfrozen Murderous Drunkard anymore today?
Teddy has zero credibility. He only attends the hearings when he is able to show boat and talk. He does not want to hear the answers from Alito and he is a rud PIG.

I think it's doubtful. He's not winning this one. LOL
"The real target is less Alito than the executive branch that nominated him."
That was great! I started cheering and my kids came in, 'what's going on?' They looked at the TV and went out shaking their heads.
In fairness, so did I :-) Thanks for reminding me.
It was clear from day one he was with Alito because of his comments after. Yeah, he was tough in questioning, but that really can't be used as a judge on how they will vote necessarily. It is what they say AFTER the session that matters.
It was obvious he was going to vote for Alito after the first day of hearings. But yesterday's antics strengthened it even more.
ahem, I watch AI!
Its called "fetus removal" in some circles. Heh. :)
I remember the stories my mother told when she was a kid and how the Italians were treated and it wasn't nice
:-) I wonder if there was coverage of the press conference by other Alito supporters today? If anyone had it, I would bet that Fox would have had someone there.
I thought they sounded like an old married couple. Ted was the wife.
Not unless he burps or hiccups from the hallway w/ his microphone one.
who said that?
[They looked at the TV and went out shaking their heads.]
been there, had that happen here.
>While Dershowitz is undoubtedly a leftist, he's one of the few of them who is actually pro-Israel
Since I am generally pro-Israel I would prefer not to be reminded of that. Thanks.
I read it last night. I've got a live news event on now. Maybe I'll listen later.
Then again...do I really want to torture myself??
wow, leahy decides not to make a bigger fool out of himself and punts
