Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.

Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”

Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.

One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

Say, CBS Evening News' Bob Schieffer just stated that Mrs. Alito began to cry during Sen. Graham's questioning. Apparently he read the first report from the AP before they got around to amending it in favor of the truth!

no chance - Schieffer and liberal media are blaming Graham.

We must never submit to the suggestion that such disgraceful behavior is to be expected. That lends it legitimacy, akin to Kerry's suggestion that we ought to get used to terrorist attacks and just roll with them.

I treasure that scripture:

Isaiah 5:20: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

And here is another scripture Michael Savage brought up some time back:

Ecclesiastes 3:8: A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
A time to hate? Yes, there is a time to HATE.

No need for confused feelings. How long can we hear their attacks on all that is good and decent without hating them?

"Thanks. Saves me the bother of opening FireFox which I won't visit Drudge without."

If I can, I try not to go to drudge. Despite muy firewall and all, I get a lot of nasty stuff each rare time I go there. What's the matter with drudge? Is he being hacked?

I saw the clip on Fox and I started to tear up - it's hard when your emotions start to get the best of you and it was plain to see that she struggled NOT to show the tears and then finally had to get up and leave the room...I'm appalled and mad beyond belief that such immoral people like Ted Kennedy dare to call anyone else on their behavior when his own will be called to account by the Lord....

"Vengence is mine, thus saith the Lord, I will repay"

I hope payment is coming SOON and hell coming with it for these bas#%ards!

I expect toddlers and teenagers to act rebelliously from time to time. One who didn't expect children (of those ages in particular) to try to get their way would be hopelessly ignorant of the ways of children.

That doesn't mean the behavior should be applauded or tolerated.

Me too, so I won't.

My family was watching NBC and my 11 year old daughter noticed her crying and pointed it out to us. Of course, her question is why? And of course NBC forgot to mention why the poor woman was in tears. So I came here for the answers.

This may be it for the dems! Over the edge!

Did you see Sessions this afternoon! My senator did GOOD!

Excellent Post.

All of us forget there are real people under all of this. Democrats are the worst at it. They have completely dehumanized all Republicans. Others have completely dehumanized all politicians.

It's easy to do. But these people are not made of stone. Until they act that way, and then you have to wonder for their soul.

You know, if I had to sit and be abused by worthless pric*s such as Kennedy, my wife wouldn't be crying, she'd be kicking a$$.

I must agree. As much as Specter has been a thorn in the past, in these hearings he's pleasantly surprised me.
