Judge Samuel A. Alito’s wife Martha left the confirmation hearing room in tears this evening, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) apologized to the Judge’s family for the behavior of his fellow committee members during the course of the last three days.
Sen. Graham said: “Judge Alito, I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this. I am sorry that your family has had to sit here and listen to this.”
Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have attacked Judge Samuel A. Alito over his membership in Concerned Alumni of Princeton and his involvement in the Vanguard case.
One senior Republican in the hearing room said of the situation: “After three full days of attacks against her husband’s character, Mrs. Alito had enough. Democrat behavior during this hearing has not only been wrong, it’s been embarrassing. Ted Kennedy is nothing but a bully.”

These reprehensible representatives are people who stop at nothing to protect the right of women to murder their children and sell those baby body parts to biotech industries or for research (and all for money). With thinking like this, I am never surprised at their warped logic. "Woe to those who call good evil and evil good."
I rarely say that I want to see someone get what is coming to them but I would have to say, I am looking forward to the day that Ted Kennedy (worthless shepherd he is) gets his. Hope he feels every ounce of pain he has caused to others.

I'm curious what you nitwits are seeking. To be lucky to break a count of ten Senate seats for your party? Just keep it up. This ain't "Bork's America" and Kennedy ain't no Golden Boy any longer. The old drunk is found repellant by the vast majority of Americans outside of Mass. Savaging this woman's husband that IS of good character, a father of two, isn't going to win you support for a filibuster especially from my own sex. After witnessing Mrs. Alito in tears I guarentee you've just infuriated a number of Liberal wives, Mothers and daughters let alone the rest that are conservative or apolitical.
Sure, I could say toughen up. But fact of the matter is it is pathetic politics on the Liberal aisle of sunk to this low and that these families should have to endure this, let alone the nominee. It's just this kind of stunt that committed countless conservatives to undue the Liberals influence after Bork was savaged. Looking to commit thousands more?

Well the sequence is a bit off. When Graham cited the reams of letters he's received praising the Judge she began to nod in agreement and then couldn't contain herself. She rose to leave as he was apologizing to the Judge and his family for having to endure the displicable line of questioning these many days. As he saw her leave he too became teary eyed in his apology. Hopefully it will be replayed on EVERY EVENING NEWS CAST TONIGHT.
It wasn't that . . . Schieffer suggested that Mrs. Alito began to cry when Sen. Graham "apologized," and Borger (Gloria) agreed. I am simply curious if that is what truly happened, or did Mrs. Alito begin to cry at a Dem line-of-questioning.

These hearings have been nasty since at least Clarence Thomas's. If Mrs. Alito wasn't aware that it could, and probably would, get ugly, she's been living in a hole.
Biden has a most vicious, nasty, miserable look and personality !! He's just another one of the Demonrat DISGRACES. Besides that, I wish someone would PUBLICALLY remind him about his PLAGERISM PROBLEM.
It does look like the Senator is recalling a meeting she had with President Clinton.
I can't figure out why even the nominees would put themselves through it, but I'm glad there are at least a few people out there who are willing to.
