Airbus is deeply saddened. Is anybody buying Airbus these days?

At the rate things are going, Airbus is going to find out there ain't much of a market for the A350.

"...estimated cost of Rs 35,000 crore (Rs 350 billion)."
"...after securing a financial discount of about Rs 1,000 crore (Rs 10 billion)."
Boeing gave Air India less than a 3% discount, it appears.
That ain't bad - sell nearly US $12 billion of stuff at almost list price.

God bless Boeing. No wonder the US economy is buzzing. Building all these airplanes affects the economy as a whole.

Great news for Boeing. And, we get some of our money back from India.

I forget, can the 787 fly from Delhi or Mumbai to New York or Los Angeles?
I'd love to go to India some day, but not necessarily via a European hub.

Boeing sure has a lot of eggs in that 787 basket.
I wish they had an equivalent dash-eighty flying first so they could prove the concept of a large plastic airplane before they committed the family farm on it.
