seats of military vehicles that were not designed with comfort and/or legroom in mind
Does that mean that you guys aren't riding around in limousines like the pants-suited one does? ;)

Thanks for your comment. Newsbusters attracts a better class of liberal than FreeRepublic, generally. So, over there, they advance actual arguments with actual facts. Or at least attempt to do that. Plus, NB doesn't have any Zot procedure. So exchanges like the one you noted, do take place.

Your message is an encouraging one, and I certainly appreciate that you're taking the time to share it.
I spent 14 months in Vietnam back in '68 and '69 and body armor was virtually unheard of.Heck, we had a tough time just getting a pair of boots or some new junge fatigues.
More times than not the local black market was our source of supply.I don't say this in a griping way, but just as a way to emphasize the vast improvements you point out.
Thanks again for "checking in" here with us. Vietnam vets are among your strongest supporters, and you can be assured we will be here for you now and when you get home.
Take care!

How touching, but instead of treating military personnel as waiters and servants at her cocktail parties, the former "Madam Co-President" should've seen to it that the military was well supplied.

What pork spending? It sure isn't for Central New York. She doesn't bring home the bacon here We're losing good jobs faster than you can say SPIT.

They weren't welcome at their quarters in Camp David either. When the elder Bush family was there, the military and their families swam in the pool and Mrs. Bush joined them. When the Clintons (I hate to even type that word) were there, they closed the military pool! Nice people. Didn't want our filthy military around THEM!

Geez, she is getting to be nearly as acerbic as Ann Coulter.
And that means, the writing just keeps getting better...

That's probably because central New York has too many Republicans, so she directs the pork barrel spending to the heavily democrat areas.
I'm not trying to annoy you, but just to add some economic optimism to this thread I have to say that we're gaining good jobs rapidly here in the Phoenix metro area. Google is going to be building a software development complex here. We're becoming a lower cost satellite R&D and manufacturing area for a number of Silicon Valley companies. The movement of jobs is following the movement of population from the northern US to the south and the west. If you can take the summer heat, this is a strong area economically.

You may be right! But around university towns and cities, republicans are taboo!
I'm really glad to hear that other areas are doing well. We have heavy taxes here and need to give businesses a tax break. Mxxx
