Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.

I'm getting so sick of the eulogizing of Sandra Day O'Connor by the Dems. They are raising her to sainthood level.

She was a big nothing to them prior to the Bush assumption of the presidency. Now she's Portia, Esther and Joan of Arc combined and personified.

If she's watching these hearings, even she's got to be embarrassed at the schmaltz their putting out about her.

Biden is rambling on and on. Time to go scrub the bathroom till the next senator is up.

It is looking as though Roberts is so precise with language and law he may already be influencing Anthony Kennedy (weak scholar). A recent case came before SCOTUS -- the funding case in which Harvard demands our money but wants to prohibit military recruiters. He finally got someone to admit that they couldn't deprive the military of their free speech and someone suggested setting up a different place, far away. Then Roberts quipped "Separate, but equal?" They backed off.

Oh, he is a great add to the bend already.
