Grassley says that if senators kept their word to their constituents that there would be no senators.

Is it just me but his Kennedy really rambling, I'm having trouble following his speech? It wasn't just you. His enunciation was better than usual, but the content was mostly goofy.

An ad on CNN this morning accused Alito of having something to do with a little girl getting strip searched. Leaky made a comment about that strip search earlier

AP headline:
Alito says he'd keep "an open mind"...
...which of course implies that he doesn't have one to begin with...

The swimmer opined that the girl is traumatized for life....I wonder if he's looked her up? Invited her to testify?

One can only imagine what the people of Massachusetts actually think when they vote for this man. As someone who grew up in the great state of Kennedy-usetts, I can tell you that the people of that state DON'T think when they vote for this man. Of course, the Republicans in the state generally put up the tomato-can of the month to run against him, so it's not like he actually has to campaign!

So, why are we having these hearings? Before teevee, they were rare, if not unheard of. Senators could learn enough through other records. Heck, they still can.
