That is so true. The Republicans always show respect to the nominee. The Dems always attack with accusations.
To: mware
This has been a train wreck today for the DEMS. I don't expect questions tomorrow I look for them to go the panel.

Yes but the Dem's will not let Alito answer.
To: FreedomNeocon
It's a court of public opinion thing. The lamestream media will be harping on Alito's failure to answer the tough questions. They will make him look weak and tired while
the feind and schmuckie will be heroes, preserving women's ability to murder unborn babies,I mean "healthcare choices"..
He'll be skewered tomorrow morning and people that aren't lucky enough to watch the entire thing (like most of us freepers) will be presented half the story.

Wahoo! Coryn has Alito and O'connor being two peas in a pod. Eat that you dimwits!

Simply amazing to compare and contrast Democrat appointees treatment by Republican Senators with this disgrace. It is amazing. Republicans are like gentlemen playing by Marquis of Queensbury rules. Dems are like the worst warf rats and gutter fighters.

I wonder if a nine hour grilling of an alQaida detainee would be allowed by the new McCain anti-"torture" legislation?Leaving aside the fact that this question has nothing to do with the subject at hand, I think McEgo's bill of rights for terrorists is a travesty.

Schumer was quite skillful in accomplishing what he wanted to do HAAAAAAA! Sorry but this is incredibly naive. You do NOT accomplish things in politics by making yourself look thuggish and our of control. This may turn on the loony base of the Democrat party but Schumer's act did ENOURMOUS damage to the Democrats PR of being trustworthy with power. Schumer came across as an out of control Soviet Style Apparatchik at a show trial. It's like the Wellstone Memorial. It does NOT give the Independents a very good feeling about the Democrats ability to separate partisanship from power. That sort of histrionics may sell well in New York, it will NOT play anywhere outside of New York.
