Trying to slime Alito with his praise of Bork? Relevance, Mr. Schumer?

Generous maternity plans were cut dramatically after this was passed in order to deal with the wider range of mandated issues.
It is unreasonable for an employer to be required to keep a job open for a year. That's painful, especially to a small business. If any employer wants to bestow generous maternity plans on his/her employees that's their prerogative. I cannot believe that anyone with a modicum of common sense would think that this "trifling nanny-state directive" (as shapka put it) was be good for either families, employees, employers or the economy. It's destructive, feel-good legislation for the nanny staters in the Blue States which hopefully will secede from the union as quickly as possible.

What I find disconcerting (to use his words) is that Schumer, who is Jewish, would find defending the right to exterminate people to be his biggest cause in life. Maybe he's PW'd by a feminist wife.

Well, I'm all for the red bits of NYS forming their own state. Heck, we could take the red bits of PA with us, too. I could care less about what we'd call it.

I'm worried about the Lindsay questions. Of course Alito can not answer them, but he did look a little hesitant and makes me worry about exactly where he stands.
If he answers too much, any legal case involving the president, he will have to recuse himself (which might please the dems). But, on the other hand, I wonder where he stands on the declaration of war. Is the president sitting on a time bomb.
Again, President Bush is always the target from our side and the other side. Leaves me with real concerns about all in our government.
And, why does no one mention that we have enemies in America and there is always the chance that those enemies have progressed into our government?

Schumer interrupts before Alito can even answer the question....the mark of one who really doesn't want an answer, just wants to show off and sound off. DOUBLE UGH
