Dang. I like this. Out of the 38 so called "Roe used as precedent" cases, only a few really are useful as upholding Roe.
I've found similar when digging into the cites used by appellate courts to justify their arguments - more often that one might think, the court misrepresents the gravamen of the case they are citing.
That list of 38 cases must have been kicking around for awhile because there is no way a rebuttal to the list could be prepared in a matter of 8 or 10 hours.

What I mean by a 'stealth' candidate is that they must give incomplete or PC answers such as, "I agree that RvW is settled law," or "I agree that there are rights to privacy in the Constitution," when you know they really think, "The SCOTUS were not judicial activists in BvG...the Florida Supremes were!"
Believe me guys, I know that a nominee has to 'play ball' to get confirmed, but I agree with Huck, I don't have to like it.

I haven't seen anyone post this yet, but from the Bench Memos blog over at NRO:
Not Quite, NARAL: Only 498,000 Signatures Short
[Ed Whelan 01/10 03:18 PM]
NARAL's Goal:
"To Convince Enough Senators That Alito Is Wrong For Our Country, We Are
Setting A Goal Of Gathering 500,000 Petition Signatures To Deliver To
The Senate." (NARAL Email, "Just 5 Days Left!" 12/5/05)
NARAL's Result:
"With The Help Of More Than 50 Volunteers We Were Able To ... Enter
2,000 Signatures Into Our Activist Database From The 'Oppose Alito'
Petition Drive ..." (NARAL Email, "Thanks For Your Hard Work!" 1/10/06)
Bwahahahahaha!

Very nice pic. A glimpse of a human being instead of a target of idiot dims who don't have a fraction of his knowledge or experience.
Thanks

Our Republican Senators are doing the job we pay them to do. Finally! About bloody time...
Alito is handling himself beautifully and not letting them rattle him. I'd have through the water pitcher clear across the room by now.
That's why I haven't run for public office, though I want to be the one to run Maxine Waters out of office (I currently live in her district). I would not have the patience nor the gentle nature to be around people like Kerry, Kennedy, Obey, McGovern, Durbin, et. al. So I do what I can here, and continue to work on my arguments.

Howard Dean prefers to call it 'women's health issues'. I wonder how many "women's health issues" he ended while a doctor in New York?
