ALITO CONFIRMATION HEARINGS
Questioning Begins Today
Each of the eighteen senators on the Judiciary Cmte. will have 30 minutes to question Supreme Court nominee Samual Alito today during round one. Sen. Arlen Specter, as chairman, will begin, then they will alternate by party in order of individual seniority. Round two starts on Wednesday.
I had it during the last hearings on Roberts. His record is 65 personal pronouns during one question and answer session.
"Maybe a 4.6-4.4 advantage us."
Hopefully, Roberts and Alito may be able to convince Kennedy to come down on our side often enough make it 4.7 or 4.8 us.

I also suspect that the peer pressure on Anthony Kennedy, when surrounded by 4 conservative Catholics will be too much for him, and he'll come back to the right side.

Yep. Prepared isn't the right word, I think he walked in without doing any "special" preparation. He knows the law, he's honest, he knows how to read the questions, and he is exceptionally capable of composing responsive answers on the fly.
Leahy had the most effective "anti" attack so far, and it stunk as such.
No way..she's facing a revolt in her caucus..they want to duimp her..so they'll never sign off on that..and Reid doesn't want to do it..remember when they did it together a few years ago?..pitifiul..
I saw that story and those women are insane. And I make no secret that I would loooove to be considered eye-candy. :-)

the reality of the case in question was whether or not U.S. Marshalls acted reasonably when carrying out the order to "SEARCH ALL PERSONS PRESENT" when executing the warrant.
