MY 2 cents worth at this point.
WATCH for the following HEADLINE !!
JUDGE ALITO ORDERS STRIP SEARCH OF 10 YEAR OLD GIRL !!!
the reality of the case in question was whether or not U.S. Marshalls acted reasonably when carrying out the order to "SEARCH ALL PERSONS PRESENT" when executing the warrant.
Watch OUT the for the SpinMasters !!

Schumer's problem is that he is the only junior senior senator ( think about it...LOL) in the Senate......it annoys him no end..

....most Americans don't give a rats bleep about the rights of terrorists that want to murder them and their childrenThat's right. And the dims are busily trying to make 'terrorist rights' a big campaign issue with all this wiretapping blather.

Joe Biden can't talk, why does Delaware continue to send him to Washington. I lived in Newark, Delaware for 35 years and feel like I know a good bit about this guy. Early on he was sort of OK. Listening to him now I began to count the times he would groan, I get 4 to 5 groans and 1 word. He could talk all day and not say anything you could understand. And he seemed nervous, which leads me to think he didn't know what he was trying to talk about.Too funny! What's laughable is that the idiot Imus has stated on numerous occasions how much he likes Biden and how much he wished Biden would run for president. It's amazing to me how different people can see looking through the same glass. I think Biden is such a baffoon (right up there with Imus) and think there's no way in all of creation that the guy could stand a chance of ever getting elected, yet idiot Imus loves the guy and thinks he should run. Unbelievable!

Thanks,
That is what I thought. I think we need to hope for at least one more Bush nomination in his second term. I don't want to be caught (pray to God it never happens) with a Democrat picking the next one in 2009.

Trying to answer the question really shows the problem the Dems have..

"he'd Bork himself pretty quickly if he took that tack"
bull-oney!
The Dems wielded a 55-45 majority in the 100th congress. They could do things to him that chukky, teddy, leaky, bidumb and di could NEVER get away with today.
The biggest travesty of the Bork hearings was that it led to the eventual approval of Justice Kennedy. The biggest irony of the Bork hearings- today the Dems big b!itch is all about "privacy" i.e. Roe v Wade plus the Patriot act and spying etc. But in the flabberghastingly inexcusable shredding of nominee Bork- they stooped so low as to use his VIDEO RENTAL HISTROY against him!!

Why would you thing Hillary hasn't committed to running???
I think she has been running for POTUS since the minute she and Bubba left the White House and waved bye-bye to George and Laura.
To: Cboldt
If W got to appoint five, then I would even allow him Harriet (or even Barbara) as the last one. LOL

I agree with you assessment...good grading!!
And I am sure you are GRATEFUL for my approval, right??? Thank you - and of course I like reasoned agreement - I like reasoned disagreement too ;-). I didn't like the quick comment from Alito that privacy is found partly in the 14th, and some of his answers (can't really put a finger on it) lacked punch. Most of his answers knock the question out of the park. I like Alito the nominee better than Roberts the nominee. Time will show me if my intuition was misplaced.
