He wants to be everyman, so I think that he wants as many people as possible to believe him. But to your point, his special friends (wink wink) should know that he was kidding.

Imagine W getting to appoint five (or more) judges to the Supreme Court. Oh sweet Mother-of-Pearl! Just keep him away from crony picks and from getting pre-approval from the DEMs. There are many outstanding traditional candidates in this country. What an awesome legacy, what a gift for the people, if SCOTUS would rein itself and the FedGov in.

So he thinks the people are clamoring a SC that will limit Presidential authority so as to protect the privacy concerns of Al Quaeda operatives while they plot another attack. I think the key word here is "privacy concerns"
The Dems are now calling abortion a right to privacy
Remember, the wiretapping this wasn't an issue till recently
IMO, they are using it as a cover .. but in the end it will back fire on them .. because most Americans don't give a rats bleep about the rights of terrorists that want to murder them and their children

I heard that call. I've heard it said before, but it resounds with every repetition. Kennedy's reputation precedes him at every appearance.

I'm sure it will be one of the most annoying they can find. You would think they would learn and put someone in there whose voice doesn't make paint chip and ear drums bleed, but that would be assuming there is a such a creature.

And i'm shocked and dismayed that you are deeply saddened about his concern

I love CSPAN.I hate C-SPAN. When it's not covering House and Senate proceedings, it's busy giving coverage to every far Left raging nutball on the planet. Its viewer call-ins are a joke, and its faux neutrality an embarrassment to everyone with more than two brain cells to rub together.
