Thanks to the FReepers/Protest Warriors who made it today to Olney's 2nd. FReep. (See <->http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1552773/posts<-> for first week's AAR and what started our FReep.) WE OUTNUMBERED the PeaceAction group 9 TO 8. Cut/paste PeaceActionMC.org if you want to view their site. These groups are like the gopher game, hit one at one place and another pops up.
Honor roll for today were Concretebob (PW), Gate2Wire, GunsareOK, Paltz (PW), Lurker Bill and Lurker Joan (Both locals), [Mr & Mrs] Trooprally, and Local Hasley. Some of the FReepers double as PW and we thank them for coming.

Local Halsey is from a local American Legion, is a Marine and a Korean War Vet. He and Concretebob hit it off like long lost brothers, which I guess they are. Local Halsey was a big supporter of our last September counter rallies. He was instrumental in getting the American Legion and VFW to join us. Without these two groups, the September rallies would have been a bust. Talking to Halsey toward the end of the FReep, he said that he was impressed with the dedication of our members. He is going to check out FreeRepublic and knowing him, I expect him to become a FReeper.
Concretebob brought his Marine flag. tgslTakoma loaned us one of the Walter Reed American flags and the MOAB. It was just a little too windy to put up the MOAB without a few more supporters. Hopefully next week it will be up. But the larger American flag looked great!
But with the supporters we had, we interrupted PeaceActionless's plans. They had to split their forces again since we were on their main corner. Two started to put together a 2nd banner where we were standing but thought better of it, put it away and after some thought, went across the street.

Some highlights (but not as good as those concerning Swiss guy(?)); One driver, while honking his horn and making a turn through the intersection, flipped the North East corner protesters the bird and then waved to us; another car with a loudspeaker blared "Kerry Sucks, Bush rocks!"; the Metro bus drivers were waving at us, and of course we once again got more honks and waves than they did.

Thanks to GunsareOK, Paltz, Gate2wire and Lurkers Joan & Bill for staying past the 4:30 stopping time to continue the counter rally against a lone anti-war idiot who was also staying longer. He is not the same protester that stayed late last week. He finally left about 5.
But GunsareOK & Paltz had some face time with him. He said he was from Switzerland and he rode a bike. (Do all idiot leftist ride bikes)? When asked if he would fight back if Switzerland was attacked with its good military and dedicated citizen soldiers like the U.S. is doing, he really didn't answer. GunsareOK said the 'Euroweenie' told him "Zee people offf zee worlt vill rise ooop and get rid of Bush". After some more conversation GunsareOK figured out that this Swiss guy had no clue about the American form of government.
Paltz came to the same conclusion about him but described him as a 'white haired guy with the stupid looking mustache'. He had no answer to Paltz's statements that the Europeans hate us but crawl back to us when they need help and protection, and if he was such a proud socialist (Paltz also told him that he was actually a communist) then why is he trying to make his dough in the U.S.
But Lurker Joan heatedly engaged him. So much so that Paltz had to calm L. Joan down before she pushed him into the street or something.
L. Joan also came to the conclusion that this guy was clueless about how the U.S. system works. He thinks that Bush is a proxy for Israel. He protested Bush in Munich. (I guess since no one in America cares what the Europeans think, he came here). L. Joan was yelling to cars stopped at the light, that this guy isn't even a U.S. citizen. And the lunacy of this guy's thinking came through when he told L. Joan that his parents were killed in a Nazi concentration camp and he some how made his way to Switzerland. Maybe the Swiss gave him a one way ticket here.
And for good measure, L. Joan was recognized by one of the local protesters. And of course L. Joan being L. Joan, she "peacefully" confronted her. But L. Joan soon gave up out of frustration. she could not get through to another of the 'completely clueless' protesters. Don't the Quakers know that our soldiers have been dying since the Revolutionary War for their peaceful pursuit of God?
I want to especially Thank the long distance FReepers that came today.

THIS COMING SATURDAY WE ESPECIALLY NEED YOUR HELP. [Mr & Mrs] Trooprally can't be there and that reduces our forces by 20%. Plus, we need more FReepers & Protest Warriors so that some can hold signs and the others can have face-to-face time with the protesters.
I'm sure that if we confront and engage these people, they will go away. Plus we need to stand in front of them while engaging them so passersby don't see their sign.
The commies are trying to make themselves mainstream.
