I think this is going to be either a really boring day or a really boring day where Senators make 15 minute speeches on how Judge Alito will turn back time and destroy not only our Country and Constitution, but the very fabric of space/time itself and at the very instance he is sworn in the universe will cease to exist.

Good morning. I'm not expecting much today either. The committee had to spend time preaching and bloviating at Robert's hearing. Nothing done that first day was pertinent to Robert's. It was all about the RATS and RINOS.

Intro day - nothing much going to happen. It will be useful as a matter of ascertaining the presentation skill and style of Judge Alito, and not much more.

Didn't I hear yesterday that there's an outside chance Spectre will grant a delay in the hearings this week?

3 hours of blather before Alito even gets introduced! And they do not even start until Noon! We have to wait, what 40 days to hear THIS? And NOW Democrats are going to try and stall some more? Amazing this body gets ANYTHING done?
So assuming, (yes, I know how reckless that is with this bunch) that they actually go on with the hearings, how long before this circus closes down and Alito's nomination can actually move to the Senate Floor?

I probably won't bother torturing myself. Maybe just opt for the encapsulated version on Brit's show.

Upchuck Schumer was threatening a filibuster yesterday if Alito hides behind the "it may come before the court" position. Seems clear the moonbats are itching for a fight, but I think they spent their powder on the lower court nominees.

Didn't I hear yesterday that there's an outside chance Spectre will grant a delay in the hearings this week? Perhaps you did hear that. Did you? I heard that the Committee vote stands to be delayed a week from its present schedule. Specter and Leahy talked about this on whatver Sunday show they were on, yesterday.

The dems were hoping Sharon would die so they could use that as an excuse to delay the hearing.

I expect the dems to affect their version of gravitas today. Tomorrow? All bets are off and verbal fangs appear.
