"seak" doesn't even spell-check.It ought to. But what has cloth-milling soap to do with alcoholism?

No, you've got it backwards. God created the Irish to keep the whiskey from ruling the world! Bottoms up! :)

As a bit of an aside, am I the only one who is bothered by those who spend a good part of their lives getting drunk, high, or whatever, and then wait for applause when they finally get clean?
"Oh the struggles I've faced; my family problems blah blah blah; I was a prisoner" etc.
I know all the times I've spent getting a buzz were damn good times and even though I've now quit (just because I felt like it), I don't pretend they were anything but. And I also don't expect anyone to "congratulate" me for "admitting the errors of my ways" and being sober.

Scots are also known take a drink from time to time, if others insist on it.

I just read yesterday about a study completed in Canada. They actually gave alcohol to 17 street bums who were considered alcoholics and then made the claim that once they got their alcoholism leveled out they were able to treat them. Three of the 17 died during this study.

I know all the times I've spent getting a buzz were damn good times That statement means you did not have a drinking problem; when bad things, like driving your car off a bridge, start happening, it has reached problem status.

Ted doesn't have a drinking problem! I think he gets it intravenously, rather than wasting time pouring it into a glass!
