You are NOT a "Whistle blower" if you leak classified info to the Press. You are a felon and a traitor, NOT a whistelblower. A distinction which will be lost on the members of the MSM who wish only to pillory the President to lend credence to the DemcRATS cry for impeachment..

Correct. Why try to defuse a bomb once it explodes... Do the old routine, I did it and I'm loud and proud!!!!!!!! It's a 50/50 gamble for him.

He may have a very high clearance but I'd say he likely violated that when he pulled out the "old" letter to Cheney which was sealed in the Senate vault.
He spoke several times at NSA meetings and it's on the web. If he had a problem, that's what the "Secret" forums are about.
The only reason he kept that letter was for "insurance" purposes. There's probably more stuff someplace else.
I'm sure this leads back to Hillary. The guy should stay out of Marcy Park.

Is there a single moonbat lie you don't accept as gospel? Dick Durbin accidentally ends up on the right side of more issues than you. Absolutely astounding...

"unchecked government surveillance" is purely hypothetical on your part. Go to the FISA site and read "everything".
The problem is that you think you should know everything that goes on in the intelligence department.
The terrorists would like to know the same thing.
I suppose if we're going to tell them everything, a USA citizen who is also a terrorist should at least have a seat on the intelligence committee so they don't get things piecemeal.
There's a reason for secrecy "IN WAR".

I agree...I'm betting the triangle is Rockefeller, the judge who resigned and Hillary. The Pawn is Risen.
Plamegate was Cooper, Grunwald and Hillary. The Pawn was Wilson.

this man has an axe to grind and his was misusing his position in the NSA to get access private info on a coworker that he felt was a spy. He was told to stop but he went on to stalk her and to harrass her. He was spying on a fellow American and he broke the very rules he is accusing the NSA of breaking.
He is guilty of illegal domestic spying. He broke those laws yet he wants to point fingers at the NSA... Methinks he doth protest too much

This guy Rice is truly psychotic. All security clearance holders are briefed annually on procedures for reporting suspicions to the appropriate agencies. All analysts are required to get briefed on how to safeguard that information and sign agreements not to reveal anything until it's declassified. It becomes second-nature to those in the intelligence field. This guy is definitely not a "whistle blower".
Rice states that the NSA retaliated for him bringing his suspicions to their attention, but it appears that he didn't follow protocol himself. It is wholly reasonable to revoke his clearance after he showed that he was even slightly unstable- the procedure is to suspend access until psychiatrists can verify that there is no threat to national security by allowing a cleared person to continue working. We have to remember that classification (and almost everything at NSA is TS) is determined by the amount of harm its release can do to the nation. He must have displayed the signs of someone who can't simply say "roger that" and follow orders. I'll bet there are some former colleagues and superiors remembering instances, that now demonstrate how disloyal he was.
If anyone is interested, you can google AR 380-67, which is the regulation on personnel security- covering all aspects of getting a clearance, keeping it, and losing it.

Dumb enough? You are cutting him too much slack. He's as evil as any Democrat and only interested in what will give him power, and to hell with the country as long as it promotes his interests. JMO.Agreed. John McCain is a danger to this country. I see him and the jolly little twit, Lindsay Graham running together in 2008.

One problem, there is no domestic spying going on.
This particular properly authorized surveilance program that is regularly monitored by YOUR elected leaders is perfectly legal and has been used in the past by several other Presidents.
You could do a little reading about what this country has already decided is legal and warranted - start here for instance - http://www.tscm.com/Surveill_Laws.html

I'll second that big time.
I bet the chump -or- chumpette as the case may be was flabbergasted, not by the announcement that there was an investigation, but for the 1st time in recent memory it wasn't an investigation where the media were the only witnesses interviewed, the suspect was one of 3 white house figures, and the same media figures who were interviewed were the ones who fabricated the charges to begin with.
I can't help but wonder whether he called his lawyer or publisher 1st.
