Following the Dec. 7 season finale of South Park, titled "Bloody Mary," the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights slammed the network for its irreverent portrayal of church icons and sought to block the episode from being rebroadcast.
It appears the group may have met with success. A repeat of the finale was scheduled to air Wednesday night, but was seemingly pulled from the Comedy Central lineup without explanation.
In the episode, a statue of the Virgin Mary is believed to be bleeding from its rear end, inspiring faithful parishioners to flock from miles around to be healed by the miraculous blood.

Maybe you recall that in many cultures in the world, menstruation is regarded as a sign of ritual impurity. So using it sround a woman is somewhat like using the term "ho".
Don't matter what you think. Just don't use the term around a Middle-class English lady. She won't bop you, but she will give you a very dirty look.
Oh please, give me a break. How many Brits are you around on a daily basis? I am living in Bangkok and associate with Brits daily, including some good friends. I have yet to meet a Brit, or Aussie or Kiwi, who is half as touchy-feely as the people posting on this thread.
Since you are obviously not aware, 'taking the piss' is a national pastime in the UK. The only people I have ever seen get angry over this are Americans. The Brits can dish it out, and take it, with the best of them.
Retreating into your bunker of armchair psychoanalysis, I see.
According to you, pre-sixties Boston was an authoritarian state. Too much of conservatism is about nothing more than preserving the screw-ups of liberals past.
Bangkok? Well, that explains a lot. "Touchy-feely" has a whole new meaning where you are.
I guess you got tired of displaying your knowledge of British culture and now want a second attempt at explaining Thai culture. Since you are completely unaware, Thailand is one of the most conservative countries I know of. Your ignorance is overpowering.
Uh...ok. I just think you are over analyzing what I said. I have no problem with diversity so as long as it isnt a forced policy on anyone or any entity. Im not the one who is apparently afraid to lose my personal identity simply being around people that dont believe in the same thing as I.
Thats no psychoanalysis, thats just an opinion i have.
"Conservative" has an entirely different meaning in a Buddhist country. Better use traditional. But I was referring to the behavior of the tourists and emigres, not the Thai.
LOL...actually, I think we need a Seratonin Channel myself. Their catchline...'we're balanced.' Sigh.
And you should try viewing "Team America" before branding the creators of "South Park" as liberals.
If you had children around, I don't blame you. I would have certainly done the same. If you didn't have little ones around, well, lets just say that you sound like a prude. Been there, done that. Don't need it no more. Blue words don't make the world a bad place.
Hypocrites (an unusually large number of whom, in my experience, are the "I wear Jesus on my lapel" crowd) are what make the world a bad place. (And, of course, also the people who are just plain EVIL and make no pretense at pretending they are holy.)
Excuse me. Are you out of your ******g mind?
Or are you just a "go along to get along" mollycoddle who would sell your liberty for a little security and peace?
The comments were filthy and NOT at all funny. The same satirical point could have been made without the offensive remarks. Regardless of the intent, to have made such disgusting remarks about a statue of our dear blessed mother shows irreverance and disrespect. Too bad you have such trouble understanding that.
I am quite sure more children are molested in the US than in Thailand. Sex with a minor in Thailand will get you 10 years in some of the worst prisons in the world. That is if the family doesn't kill you before the police get you. Of course this is different than in the US where you will just be transfered to a different parish.
I hope that you're alright (regarding the weather there).
We're fine; we're right near the OR/CA border, and not near a river. Well, a couple of miles, but up higher than it will reach!
Had to dig trenches around outside a few times, but no danger. We actually saw a little blue sky today! It looked like heaven.
Are you in the bad weather?
I just clicked your profile page - I guess Wyoming isn't having the mudslides and flooding. The only time I've been in your state is driving through in the winter and it was the scariest car ride I ever had. Blizzard, and are there really a road that's at 9000 ft elevation? I swear I saw a sign that said that. A trucker pulled in front of us and saved our lives; we could see him but not the road. Snow was blowing sideways from every direction. Actually I would have sworn it was blowing up, too.
Yeh, sure, Happy New Year.
