New York - After days of carping by Democrats, some Republicans and news reporters over NSA spying, the mainstream news media are piling on the Bush Administration with a new revelation that says more about liberals than it does about our Commander-in-Chief.
According to the Los Angeles Times, almost immediately after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that left over 2,500 bodies laying in the rubble of what used to be the World Trade Center, and left over 200 bodies laying in the rubble of part of the Pentagon, FBI agents secretly monitored radiation levels at Islamic mosques, businesses and homes for several years in large cities to determine whether nuclear or chemical bombs were being assembled. Notice how the Bush Administration is always "secretly" doing things? As if normal clandestine operations are conducted out in the open.
The Los Angeles Time reported, "The disclosure, following the revelation a week ago that the government has secretly (there's that word secretly, again) spied on US citizens without court permission, angered a number of US Muslim leaders. They cited a Supreme Court ruling three months before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in which the justices rejected such government monitoring."
"All Americans should be concerned about the apparent trend toward a two-tiered system of justice, with full rights for most citizens and another diminished set for Muslims," said Nihad Award, an official of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim civil liberties group. (By the way, the Los Angeles Times should ask Dr. Daniel Pipes about CAIR being merely a "civil liberties group -- he can use a good laugh.)
But Justice Department officials said the monitoring is lawful. They said investigators have used special equipment to gauge radiation levels at homes, warehouses and religious centers of some Muslim groups,

I think the letter DOJ sent to the senate was a shot over the bow, IMHO. If I were one of those senate traitors, I'd be very worried what's incoming after the 2006 elections are over.
If the gnashing of teeth is taking place wait till mid November 2006.

The Right to Privacy provides every American the right to keep the radiation levels of their home or residence private. C'mon do you really want the government to know how much radiation is seeping out of your house? It's no one's damn business but me and my partner!!!!

"All Americans should be concerned about the apparent trend toward a two-tiered system of justice, with full rights for most citizens and another diminished set for Muslims," said Nihad Award, an official of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation's largest Muslim civil liberties group. That type of thinking worked well on Sept. 10, 2001.
It occurs to me that the only people that have been spied on have probably needed to be spied upon. Slippery slope be damned.

I hope "24" has plenty of batteries for all the cel phones they use on the program.
When I heard liberal groups were getting torqued over an actor ("Jack Bauer")
actually shooting guys out to blow up the USA...I forgave all the silly contrivances
and illogical plots of "24"!

"President Bush is Dirty Harry Callahan" and the rats are the punks who have to ask themselves if they feel lucky.
So far they've been guessing wrong.

I was talking on the phone yesterday to my aunt, who is in her 80s but still sharp as a tack, and she was cursing the Democrats. She said she'd lived for a long time, through several big wars, but she never thought she'd live long enough to see one of the two major political parties adopt open treason as its platform.

Democrats were different in those days, they just wanted to spend like the Republicans do today.
HST nuked in order to win the war.
The rats of today would have ceded Hawaii and California, maybe more to the japs in surrender.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.
