This has got it all - Outrage at W, comparisons to Apartheid South Africa and on and on. A real anger builder.

BTW, does anyone know exactly how many individuals were actually listened in on? I've heard as few as 28. Is this accurate?

Where's the outrage? That's easy. It's in the Stalinist liberal idiot press.

That outrage you hear is the echo from Bin Laden's cave

I'm sure arlene must be happy that her homeland and neighboring countries are relieved of "white" oppression and are happily devolving into slaughter and oblivion under the "black" variety.

If someone in the US is having a telephone conversation with a known Al Qaeda operative, they had BETTER be monitored.

The hypocrite Dim's would be all over Bush if he DIDN'T monitor these conversations.

As Rush says, "It's STILL not safe to vote Democrat".

Arlene ranks right up there with Michael Isikoff. What a bleeding idiot.

Arlene could write about next door Zimbabwe and the great dictator Mugabe, but that wouldn't fit into the agenda.

I have read some real left wing liberal pieces in Newsweek before, but this one takes the grand prize.
I would suggest everyone write to complain to Newsweek... this is disgusting.

I'm beginning to think that Newsweak deserves a special award as Enemy of the Year.

This is classic liberal crap. Just who is Arlene Getz anyway? I loved the Tutu story about him complaining about lack of free speech because someone criticized him for an anit-Bush rant. Poor baby.

I guess Getz is suggesting that soon we will be arresting children and torturing them and also firing into crowds of "disenfranchised" --one of the libs favorite words-- black people. This is truly a liberal classic.

Notice how the writer glossed over the fact that there were black policemen doing the shooting into crowds of blacks ~

And Fur Shur, he failed to mention they were of different major tribes.

Ultimately those people are going to kill each other off anyway.

There is an unintended irony in this hit piece. The MSM clamored for years against South Africa. Once they achieved their "victory" over Apartheid they ignored the socialist hell that South Africa has become (which they were responsible for in no small way).

Call me a paranoid but I believe these waves of media and political negativism are coordinated. These events happened repeatedly leading up to the 2004 election. Remember that Mary Mapes was in contact with Kerry's campaign headquarters as she rushed the fabricated Bush guard story on to the air. Every major paper ran a version of the document story before it was exposed as a fraud. Many never retracted it. In this latest case you have a New York Times reporter, who is getting ready to sell a book on the subject, drop a manufactured news bomb the day after the successful Iraqi elections. Immediately the rest of the media picks up the chant along with the left wing of Congress. I have never heard such a racket over what will turn out to be a non-story. But it distracts the masses from the administration's achievements. The dilemma is that the watchdogs are the ones rooting through the chicken house. I'd like to see the e-mails that travel back and forth in just one hour between the New York Times, Newsweek and congressional offices.

I actually think this sounds juvenile and ridicules.

It reads like a High School essay.

Liberal Media still in search of a news story that will help destroy the Bush Administration.

Lewinski, was OK.

Foster in Fort Marcy was OK.

Bombing a pill factory in Sudan was OK.

Kosovo was OK.

Missle Tech to Chinese was OK.
