Once again, I post the simple outcome of Dubya's directive that
resulted in NO murders by terrorists in America since 9-11:

BUSH SPYED, NOBODY DIED

Thanks to the freeper (screen-name unremembered) for this gem

In October-November, there were so many things that went wrong. Katrina. Iraq. Miers. When the Dims' attacks increased, instead of giving strong responses, Republicans & WH looked the other way and did nothing. As if the attacks will go away if they close their eyes. And Ms. Miers appointment didn't help either.

Bush and Rove are well aware that by "going on the offensive" and taking a higher profile, Bush's numbers will improve. They've known it all along. Bumping the numbers up this way is something Dubya can do anytime he pleases.

But they also realize that there are ebbs and floes, and Bush must be skillfull in how he doles himself out to the public - - it cannot be a constant thing because then the strategy would grow stale and ineffective. (That is, Bush must sometimes stay out of sight and let his numbers fall.) So therefore it is all a matter of timing. And the timing is usually impeccable. If there is one thing above everything else, politically, that amazes me about this administration it is the patience that these folks have.

(Note to self - - DO NOT EVER get into a poker game with George W. Bush.)

Oh, I just saw your "Bush will just sign another trillion dollar spending bill" and "He'll just let the libs keep attacking him" posts--you're incapable of lightening up.

You enjoy those Buchannan in 08 meetings, now... ;)

Nope. I'm a realist. Times have changed since I first voted in 1964 for Barry AuH2O.

Who are these wishy-washy people whose opinions shift with the wind?

You would think that since they seemingly realized that the President has been telling the truth all along that they would also realize that the democrats and the media have been lying to them.

But their opinions will shift again the next time the democrats/media begin a new campaign of lies aganist the president.

So I'm just going to keep doing my job. Maybe you can keep focusing on all these focus groups and polls, and all that business. My job is to lead, keep telling the American people what I believe, work to bring people together to achieve a common objective, stand on principle, and that's the way I'm going to lead. I did so in 2005, and I'm going to do so in 2006.

A few words about the president's "approval rating."

51 percent of the people in America could not name the president, much less know what kind of job he is doing.

91 percent know so little about how government works they have not the foggiest idea even what the president's job really is.

The president's approval rating is directly tied to how the media is treating him.

If the lamestream media says the president's approval rating is down, it goes down. If it reluctantly admits that the president's approval rating has improved, it improves.

That is, assuming that polls mean anything.

When your offense is on a roll, you don't change your play calling. The Prez needs to stay on offense and throw it back at the Rats and the MSM's face. The past three days is a prime example of what they need to keep doing.
