Not surprising, this was going nowhere.

Republicans deserve their first name... - gutless.
To: lowbridge
Just split it in two. The current judges get to preside over dog bite cases from Rinker Dink Street in Black Hole City Nevada and the other newly picked half gets the current load of the 9th circus.

In the face of US Senate opposition,
Everytime I see these words I get this sick feeling in my gut. If the Senate has opposed something to death, it was surely a good thing for the country.

California just loves sticking it to Utah and Idaho and other backward mountain places. The mountain states are a province of California, and they need to deal with that.

Reid and Feinstein love having their leftist judges legislating from the bench and imposing BS on people in conservative states. I'm disappointed to see this effort fail.

In the face of US Senate Democrat and RINO opposition, House Republicans have dropped chickened out on a plan to split the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals.There. Fixed it.

This ain't over. The pervert socialist domestic enemy
packed 9th...is going to get busted up.

If this was something the Rats could filibuster in the senate, I don't know why house republicans wasted their time trying to push it through.
To: lowbridge
Lots of big talk from Congress, no action. This is very disappointing.

Republican'ts cave-in again. The Republican'ts ALWAYS cave-in to the RATs.
When Republican'ts cave-in so often after winning all three branches, just imagine what the gutless ones will do when they lose a branch or two (or three). They will cave-in so much it will look like the world's largest sinkhole.

that is WEAK! Living in Alaska, we fall into the rose colored grip of the People's Liberation Court, 9th Circuit. Black robed shills for the ACLU, living in Calif, have not a clue (imho) on life and policy issues in the Last Frontier. We truly should be aligned with northwest states and with those who understand actually living in a natural environment.

In the face of US Senate opposition, House Republicans have dropped . . .What else is new?
To: lowbridge
So, who is in charge of the US Senate. I was under the mistaken impression that is was the republicans, but obviously I was wrong.

If and when the 9th circuit goes hard right, filled with judges from Rexburg and Provo, then the split will occur.

How? And how is it that such a small % of appeal appointments were made by republican presidents on this circuit where every other circuit is either split pretty evenly or has a repubilcan majority?
