LET THE WORD GO OUT TO THE MASSES OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC THAT
JAMES RISEN, AUTHOR OF "STATE OF WAR: : The Secret History of the C.I.A. and the Bush Administration," SET TO BE RELEASED IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS,
IS APPARENTLY THE RECIPIENT OF CERTAIN HIGHLY SENSITIVE AND CLASSIFIED INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION, LEAKED TO HIM BY UNNAMED AND AT THIS TIME UNKNOWN US GOVERNMENT OR FORMER US GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES OR CONTRACTORS
AND, FURTHER, THAT HE AND HIS EMPLOYER, THE NEW YORK TIMES, IN THE INTERESTS OF DISCREDITING AND IMPUGNING PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, GINNING UP INTEREST AND SALES FOR THE BOOK, and SUBVERTING THE RENEWAL OF THE PATRIOT ACT,
HAS PUT THE SAFETY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND HER CITIZENS IN GREAT PERIL,
BY KNOWINGLY ILLEGALLY RELEASING HIGHLY SENSITIVE AND CLASSIFIED INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION, THEREBY AIDING AND ABETTING OUR ENEMIES IN A TIME OF WAR.
THIS OUTRAGEOUS ACT OF POSSIBLE SEDITION ON THE PART OF JAMES RISEN AND THE NEW YORK TIMES DEMANDS NO LESS THAN AN IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION ON THE PART OF THE CIA, THE FBI AND THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, PROMPT ACCOUNTABILITY AND SEVERE PUNISHMENT TO THE GUILTY CRIMINAL OFFENDERS, AND AN IMMEDIATE OUTREACH TO KNOWN BOOKSTORES (Amazon, Booksamillion, Barnes&Noble, etc.)AND OTHER RETAIL AND ONLINE PURCHASING SITES, ETC., DEMANDING THAT THEY REFUSE TO SELL THE BOOK OF SOMEONE WHO'S POSSIBLY GUILTY OF TREASON IN A TIME OF THE GLOBAL WAR ON TERROR

GOD, SAVE US FROM OUR ENEMIES WITHIN
God bless you for your courage, zook.
That ain't gonna happen, baby.
Rather than prosecute MSM operatives who divulge state security interests in an attempt to render the CIC ineffective in the WOT in order to return socialists to the levers of power, the White House has grown a tiny pair but still is short of the mark.
HITLER has a towel on his head.
Time to get busy.
(Larry) Johnson (kook ex-spook who hates Pres. Bush) points out that he coauthored a piece in 2000 with Milt Beardon that looked specifically at the threat posed by al-Qaeda rather that at terrorism trends in general.
May 12: Milt Beardon and James Risen, "The Main Enemy: The Inside Story of the CIA's Final Showdown with the KGB"
Milt Beardon, Director of Operations in Afghanistan (for CIA) during the Soviet occupation said that the CIA planted stories in Newsweek about the Soviet's making bombs that looked like toys. In fact, he said this was "simply the name of the game" in their "disinformation war" with the Soviets.

Veterans of intelligence, military planning and diplomacy such as Richard Clarke, Joseph Wilson, Robert Baer, Scott Ritter and Milt Bearden have come forward to condemn a rush to judgment that left America more vulnerable to terrorism while plunging Iraq and the Middle East into chaos.

James Risen, "Iraq Said to Have Tried to Reach Last-Minute Deal to Avert War," New York Times, 6 November 2003
WASHINGTON, Nov. 5 As American soldiers massed on the Iraqi border in March and diplomats argued about war, an influential adviser to the Pentagon received a secret message from a Lebanese-American businessman: Saddam Hussein wanted to make a deal.
Iraqi officials, including the chief of the Iraqi Intelligence Service, had told the businessman that they wanted Washington to know that Iraq no longer had weapons of mass destruction, and they offered to allow American troops and experts to conduct a search. The businessman said in an interview that the Iraqis also offered to hand over a man accused of being involved in the World Trade Center bombing in 1993 who was being held in Baghdad. At one point, he said, the Iraqis pledged to hold elections.

August 11 -- Can Goss Boss the CIA?
Poisoning the well for Rep. Porter Goss, Bush's choice to head the CIA: "
his recent actions
have angered a number of senior C.I.A. officials, which could make it difficult for him to work with many of the holdovers from the Tenet era." Another piece intones: "Mr. Goss has engendered considerable ill will within the very organization he has been tapped to lead."
July 14 -- Times (Finally) Tackles Joseph Wilson
At last, the Times broaches the lost credibility of its former anti-war favorite, Amb. Joseph Wilson of uranium and Niger fame--but shuns the heart of the issue.
June 17 -- Czech It Out: Times Tries to Squash Al Qaeda-Iraq Link
The NYT has worked overtime to discredit Czech intelligence reports of a meeting in Prague between 9-11 terrorist Mohammed Atta and an Iraqi intelligence officer. James Risen cites the 9-11 report to justify dismissing the allegations: "
the Sept. 11 commission said its investigation had found that the meeting never took place." But the report doesn't--as Risen's own story shows.
May 3 -- Risens Gross Sex-Abuse Story
As highlighted by the Drudge Report, Times reporter James Risen publicized graphic claims of American soldiers requiring Iraqi prisoners to masturbate and ejaculate at the Abu Ghraib prison, but last summer, Times reporter Amy Waldman barely mentioned that Abu Ghraib was best known for its infamous prison under Saddam Hussein.
March 30 -- Richard Clarke a Must-Read, Raves Risen
National security reporter James Risen likes Richard Clarke's Bush-bashing book a lot: "
if President Bush and his advisers were hoping that their loud pre-emptive attacks on 'Against All Enemies' would make this book go away, they were sadly mistaken. Richard A. Clarke knows too much, and 'Against All Enemies' is too good to be ignored."
January 15 -- "Conservatives" vs. "Democrats"
Eric Lichtblau and James Risen pit "conservatives" versus plain old "Democrats" in a story on a 9/11 task force.
You stated imprison him until he discloses his source, but that has to be pursuant to a criminal investigation where he's ordered to testify. In the Plame affair, there's clearly no law broken. Here, we don't know if there was either.
Let's not repeat the Fitzgerald mistake: assume, then investigate. As stated earlier, let's also first see if what he published is actually correct. It would be a first if it were.
yeah a voice of reason. If this is, and I say is illegal then I say they oh well.....LOL I am not going to defend anyone on this blatant violation of the constitution. Back GWB all you want, I'm not with anyone who supports this.
Ugh - do I HAVE to remember that mug?
IS *APPARENTLY* THE RECIPIENT
LEAKED TO HIM BY *UNNAMED* AND AT THIS TIME *UNKNOWN*
OUTRAGEOUS ACT OF *POSSIBLE* SEDITION
I can't stand this guy either .. but unfortunately whoever is making this carefully worded accusation doesn't seem to have much evidence.
The President is going to Rip their little heads off tomorrow night, with his speech.
How can we sue? How can we place hime under arrest for treason?
Find the leak...I agree with others on this thread: Rockefeller. After all, he's the one that made sure the WMD's had enough warning time to get out of Iraq.
BTW: I am not bothered by the info released, whatever it takes to rid us of the Islamist vermin I'm for!
You're right -- ain't gonna happen.
Ping
For God's sake, Pres. Bush just announced this intel leak today. What are you talking about?
I'm always right.
