I was not suggesting the reporter has broken the law. However, the person that leaked the info to him might well have - Hence the comparison to Plame. Citizens, including reporters, are not bound by intelligence disclosure laws. Reporting, regardless of what is reported, would never be considered treasonous unless one wants to completely gut the first amendment.

Cite the law supporting this please. I can't yell "fire!" in a crowded theater because it might cause harm to people in the ensuing rush to the exits. How can reporting information that would cause grievous and irreparable harm to a nation or it's citizens if that information was released to the enemy be protected?
