If Goss can't stop the leaks in the CIA, replace him. Immediately.

"The American people expect me to do everything in my power under our laws and Constitution to protect them and their civil liberties. And that is exactly what I will continue to do, so long as I'm the President of the United States."

Fantastic! Sing it, Mr. President, time to tell 'em how it is.

Will the senate ever get it? And McCain's sponsoring of terrorist rights was downright despicable as well. I guess, we'll all have to wait for the next big attack before we can shake off this collective insanity.

"Yesterday the existence of this secret program was revealed in media reports, after being improperly provided to news organizations. As a result, our enemies have learned information they should not have, and the unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk. Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country."

McCain came up that abomination, but the President signed onto it.

NSA, not CIA.

McCain attached it to a defense appropriation.

If Bush rejected it, he would also have to deny funding our troops at war as well.

It was a detestable move by McLame.

I hope the despicable Arlen Sphincter was listening to this. That bast*rd should shut his sick, opportunistic mouth.

Write a nasty letter to your Congressman and Senators complaining about the Congressional reaction to the President's actions. Congress has no business tying the President's hands when it comes to intercepting al Qaeda phone calls to the US. And this impeachment talk is insane, and they need to be told so.

NSA, not CIA.

I think his point is that every anti-Bush leak has come from CIA sources, so it's reasonable to assume this one did too. It's time to dismantle the CIA and start over.

From what I've heard so far, it's the CIA that is doing the leaking, not the NSA, even though this is the agency being discussed.

Whoever leaked this to the NYT needs to be prosecuted.

I would call in my Department heads and tell them that I wanted the offenders in jail within a week. Period. Any one implicated should be tried and jailed. Here we don't shoot the guilty, but in would not be inappropriate.

I don't think beating Goss is going to do anything. Justice needs to find out who did it and prosecute them. I'm betting it wasn't Goss.

The leaks aren't in the NSA or CIA. I want to know which members of congress were notified. If you know which Democrats were briefed, you will have a short list of names to identify the leaker.

There should be a special prosicutor named. Drag in the reporters and throw them in jail if they don't reveal their sources.

Plame them to death.
