I know it's not biblical, but I am really starting to hate the democrats and the leftists. (I have despised them all along but this feeling is much stronger.)

This authorization is a vital tool in our war against the terrorists. It is critical to saving American lives. The American people expect me to do everything in my power under our laws and Constitution to protect them and their civil liberties. And that is exactly what I will continue to do, so long as I'm the President of the United States.

Well we also expect you to secure our borders against illegal immigration, but that hasn't been a very high priority for you. I don't mind that you're monitoring Al Quaida communications with idiots who are here in the US. But don't give me that BS about doing "everything in your power" to protect us. It isn't true.

Whoever leaked this to the NYT needs to be prosecuted.

Amen! Even if it's a US Senator!

What makes you think the leaks came from the CIA? It's an NSA program. The leaks almost certainly came from Congress - and Dubya knows it. He's pissed, and I'm glad!

Revealing classified information is illegal, alerts our enemies, and endangers our country.

Sounds like some people are being investigated. Hopefully, heads will roll soon.

I am really starting to hate the democrats and the leftists.

You can make a strong case and lobby for change without hating someone. You can even go to war without hating someone. I really think hate only comes back at you and it certainly separates you from God, and what good would that do anyone?

Shouldn't you be scouring the 'Net looking for mildly negative economic news to blow out of proportion??

Limbaugh said yesterday what I'd been thinking all along. That it's 'gonna take at least one... maybe two more Islamo-fascist attacks within our borders before we awake from our collective stupor.

Americans will have to get their faces rubbed into some of that sh_t that flies off the fan.

If Goss can't stop the leaks in the CIA, replace him. Immediately.

This leak involves the NSA, not the CIA, but I suspect the leaker is a senior member of Congress (Senate), Democrat or RINO variety.

Get real. Tell us how you, personally, would go about finding and stopping leaks in any organization. The essence of leaking is secrecy and unless the CIA has developed mental telepathy there's no way Goss can truly know. Worse, even though he may have suspicions, there are many legal hurdles to hamstring him. Goss is the best thing to happen to CIA in many years. Leave the man alone to do his job!

Oh, I'm sure it wasn't Goss, and I never said I thought it was. But the CIA needs a good cleaning, and quickly.

Or the leak came from the Senate. I've heard that the junior Senator from West Virginia has known about this for some time. I would not put it past him. Remember the memo.

McCain came up that abomination, but the President signed onto it.

Yeah, lets just let the military run out of money instead. That will teach McCain and those Senators. BTW, did ANYONE even bother to mention that the bill passed with greater then 2/3s majorities? That a veto would be over ridden?

But that RIGHT. Let's NOT hold the people who actually cast the votes accountable! Lets seize on this for yet ANOTHER excuse to whine "why doesn't Bush DO something". p>

What is it going to take for people to WAKE UP to the fact that the bulk of the power in our system is LEGISLATIVE, NOT Executive. Maybe prior to Watergate the Executive was co-equal but since then the power has flowed ALL one way. TO the Congress. How about "Conservatives" finally wake up to the fact that it is Government BY the people and WE need to start holding our Congress Critter by the ears over a long drop to wake them them up that we are AT WAR. Seen the most recent individual Senator poll data? Funny how you all are mad at Bush but have absolutely NO distaste for your Senators. THEY are the problem people, NOT Bush.
