House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said yesterday that Democrats should not seek a unified position on an exit strategy in Iraq, calling the war a matter of individual conscience and saying differing positions within the caucus are a source of strength for the party.

If it were the GOP, it would be called a major fracture within the party, disunity, and chaos. For the Dems, it's called a strength. Typical.
Be quite stretch P.
So I guess what the Dems are saying is they have no plan, no benchmarks...nothing.
Think about it. The situation in Iraq is the issue of the day. heck, it's the issue of the decade and the Dems come out of their meetings with...drum roll....no position whatsoever. Now, theat's leadership! Yea, these guys deserve to get elected next year......
Trying to set the stage before the dems get us hit with another 9/11 is what she's doing, so we wont point our fingers in their faces and say "You did this!"
Just count the ways they have undermined the war effort and our national security and there's no other answer for their behavior. I believe they're trying to get us hit again so the can blame it on President Bush. I think that's the only way they think they can get on top in 2006 & 2008.
Or ... Mrs. Pelosi can't get "her" troops to agree.
She really is the gift that keeps on giving.
Oh, her troops agree, all right. But she's just smart enough to know that what they agree on (cutting and running) is not what we want to hear.
What is truely telling is that she says this with a straight face and not a single question or comment from the msm. DemnoRATS have multiple positions on the most important event in years and no one in the media sees this for the insanity that it is.
Let a single pubbie politician make one comment that questions tactics in the battle of Iraq in the war on terror, and it is 48 point type headlines and the lead story in the msm.
Regardless, we are winning both the battles and the war, and our President will not waiver, will not quit and will not fail. After GWB, well, we will have to see what comes next, but for the next three years... Merry Christmas and Happy New year.
Does she think that Lieberman's position is OK?
And would she defend to the death his right to have it? Highly unlikely on both counts. These people are so mealy-mouthed.
"Diverse"? Try "bizarre".
Don't recall the Founding Fathers making this argument on behalf of Benedict Arnold. Must have missed something.
Yeah, didn't ole Ben Franklin say something about hanging together or they would surely hang seperately?
Miz Pelosi is discussing "hair styles" for Democrats. lol!!!

Too funny!!!
Can you imagine the beating Hastert would get from the Dems/MSM if he said something idiotic like Pelosi just did??? I get verbal vertigo just reading that contorted nonsense.
That way no matter the outcome, they can say they were right.
They're FOR higher taxes, more entitlements (welfare), abortion, socialism, .......
This is a really funny headline. If Republicans didn't have a position on some major controversy, the headline would refer to "confusion" or "disarray." But for Democrats we get a happy word like "diversity."
The media isn't able to question such complexity and depth of position.
There was a movie made about Pelosi and the Dems. It was called "Dumb and Dumber".
