CNN did this in exchange for being sodomized by Saddam.
Don't know if they actually took money for it though.

The NYT? They get their payments in policies when they blackmail our reps with a smear or else.

"Bandow told BusinessWeek Online that he had accepted money from Abramoff for writing between 12 and 24 articles over a period of years, beginning in the mid '90s, with many payments at $2000 a column."

They didn't take money because that would have made them feel dirty.

"My view has always been that there are too few journalists left in journalism, and too many columnists with actual or potential conflicts of interest writing for mainstream newspapers," said columnist Cal Thomas, who's syndicated to nearly 600 papers via Tribune Media Services (TMS). The conservative commentator told E&P Online that what Bandow did was "a big no-no" that "damages the credibility of everybody" who writes columns.

"respected libertarian research organization"
Okay, what's wrong with that statement?
To: Mojave
I think it might be easier if someone would compile a list of people in Politics who DID NOT take money from Jack Ambramhoff.

Nothing that I can see. Cato has been around for years and their influence in conservative circles is pretty big.

And such a bargain. Only $2,000 to buy an editorial run under one of their columnist's names.

Do you have a point? It makes things soooo much more interesting for the reader when you do.

Like I said before. If you had an actual point, it would make things much more interesting for the reader.
Sadly, you don't so reading your responses has become a complete waste of time.

I used to work at Cato, and I know Doug. He's a nice guy, and one of the few evangelical Christians there. Very sad news.
