I fully support the death penalty. He had 20+ years to be redeemed - I'm sure he's already figured out, he couldn't redeem himself. May his victim's family have some sort of rest that this fight is over.

Bout damn time.
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but as I was driving home KLOS here in L.A. was playing the song "Hand of Doom" right about the time the process execution was taking place. Had to laugh...

I am actually against the death penalty for pragmatic reasons (though not against killin' when someone is desperately begging for it), but I have a really hard time feeling sorry for a fella who was very obviously a sociopath through and through. If you are going to have a death penalty, it should be reserved for people like him.

May God grant Tookie the salvation and peace that Jesus offers us all through His shed blood.
Justice has been properly served on a convicted murderer who was also likely responsible for hundreds if not thousands of maimed lives, bodies, and senseless deaths thanks to the violence of the Crips. This whole thing took two decades too long to get to this point.
I agree that something needs to be done with the Death Penalty. Either we engage in swift, speedy executions that occur after a thourough but accelerated appeals process or we get rid of the death penalty. This murderer lived an almost full life..able to create a new personna for himself that almost obliterated the fact that he killed 4 people in a very brutal, calloused way. We must have a speedy and fair trial by our constituion. We should also have a speedy and fair implemtation of sentences if a conviction occurs.
Enough of the liberalized circus sewage...

The muted reaction to his impending, and now completed, execution illustrates again just how agenda-driven the MSM really are, not to mention racist.
I think they expected, or at least they certainly wanted, Los Angeles to go up in flames again (maybe they're jealous about France). In any case, the people who live there, you know the dumb blacks, at least as far as the MSM is concerned, maybe aren't so dumb (and manipulable) after all, and have shown everyone that they too are happy to see one of the key instigators in the destruction of their communities being shown true justice, regardless of what the liberals who claim to speak for them have to say.

Tookie has undergone a reformation now. He's standing before a different Judge that has the facts and political correctness is not a deciding factor. Did Tookie ever ask for forgiveness from God? I never saw any reference in the MSM about that. Bets are on that Tookie went a little further Southern than California.

To: Slings and Arrows
Tookie commited cimes and he has paid his debt to society, end of the story. I don't speak ill of the dead. May he rest in peace.
To: Slings and Arrows
I wrote to the BBC earlier today(of course they didn't publish it), and I say this most respectfully now that Tookie is dead, that Tookie's execution should have been carried out in Compton,CA, in some public area. Following which his body should have been placed there for 24hrs to allow other "residents" to pay their respects.

He wanted life imprisonment and he got it.
