Stanley Tookie Williams executed Crips gang co-founder put to death for 4 murders

SAN QUENTIN, California (CNN) -- Convicted killer and Crips gang co-founder Stanley Tookie Williams was executed early Tuesday at the California state prison at San Quentin.
The execution went ahead as scheduled after the U.S. Supreme Court late Monday rejected a last-ditch appeal.
The high court's ruling followed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision to deny clemency for Williams, 51, who received a lethal injection at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (3:01 a.m. ET).

No, from what I heard the witnesses say (and I fell asleep with the set on and woke up to their interviews) I don't think they characterized him that way. Maybe some exasperation with the length of time to get the needle in, but more like defiance, intimidation, maybe acceptance toward the end.

I'll take a stab at this. In America, no newspaper or official is allowed to say someone committed a crime, until they are convicted by a court of law.
