(Tookie) Killer's lawyers file last-ditch appeal

Hours after California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger denied clemency Monday for convicted killer Stanley Tookie Williams, lawyers for the Crips street gang co-founder filed a last-ditch appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court for a stay of execution.

Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, Williams is scheduled to die by injection at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (3:01 a.m. ET) at San Quentin State Prison, near San Francisco.

Civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, who met with Williams earlier in the day, criticized Schwarzenegger for deciding not to spare Williams.

Jackson said Williams, who was convicted of killing four people in two 1979 robberies in Los Angeles, had earned clemency and that Schwarzenegger's decision was about "making politicians look tough, but that does not make it right."

If California had death by electrocution, we'd have a Crispy Crip.

Its really too bad. I would have liked to stay awake and at the hour see my lights flicker.

One simple execution is far to good for that filthy POS. Its discusting that some children have his book in their rooms. Im not suprised that Jesse Jackson and Hollywood types defend that murderer, he is a perfect role model for the left wing.

Yes, the professional racist maggot always shows up, when it is expedient for his racist hypocritical agenda. I wonder why Calypso Louie is not there -- blaming the whole thing little men from flying saucers that were called down by Bush ??

About a dozen years ago a co-worker showed up for work complaining that a traffic cop had ticketed her for going 80 in a 55 MPH zone. "But he was only trying to make his quota."

I told her as nicely as I could that if I were a cop and I were trying to make my quota, I couldn't think of anyone better to make it with than her. And I think the same thing when it comes to politicians trying to look "tough"--there's not a better guy to do it with than Tookie.

If clemency's rejected
He must get injected.

Stanley Williams will meet his fate soon, but the hype about his pending execution only overshadows the real story behind the story... how the mainstream media and the liberal legal machinery through judge shopping, carefully crafted propaganda, and guilt, have tried to elevate a death row inmate convicted of multiple brutal crimes to the status of martyr and hijack the criminal justice system. Before Tookie is even cold, they'll find another posterboy for their liberal causes.

Or they can give him a "euphoric" death and let him starve and dehydrate over 2 weeks or so.
