ACLU of Northern California in San Francisco holds conference (Mike Farrell is mad at Arnold)

The ACLU of Northern California in San Francisco held a news conference at their offices in downtown San Francisco Monday, shortly after the governor's decision was announced.

Also present were members of Amnesty International and actor Mike Farrell, who is on the board of Death Penalty Focus.

"We are terribly disappointed with the governor," said Dorothy Ehrlich, executive director of ACLU of Northern California.

Magdaleno Rose-Avila of Amnesty International said his organization was shocked by the governor's decision and further "disgusted by his tone ..."

Farrell, perhaps best know for his TV roles in "MASH" and "Providence," lashed out at Schwarzenegger.

"Governor Schwarzenegger has demonstrated he is another cowardly politician," Farrell said, adding the governor tortured Williams in the wait for clemency.

"The questions becomes: What does this act on his part tell us about himself? That he is a creature of politics."

Ever notice the anti-war message in MASH?

At first it was slapstick comedy.

The anti-war preaching came later.

Good point. If Tookie really does care about kids, he'd make an announcement through his attorneys to ask for calm in the community.

Must be where he cultivated his liberal disease. Ever notice the anti-war message in MASH?

I think it's the other way around. He was hired because of his "liberal disease." And the message of MASH (both the movie and TV show) wasn't so much anti-war as it was anti-American. They often dropped little bon mots that attempted to justify the poor Korean (Vietnamese) Communists fight for "their country."

Schwarzenegger is a bigger star than Ferrell will ever be. Ferrell is under some delusion that he actually served in a MASH unit as a surgeon in the Korean war.

"Farrell, perhaps best know for his TV roles in "MASH"

All of that time stuck in a make believe war really soured Alan Alda and Farrell didn't it? Their depravation was unrelenting. Hot lips Houlihan did a number on them.

What is more cowardly than shooting a young soldier in the back? Or shooting a 70 year old, frail man and woman for a couple of hundred dollars?

If Arnold was a coward, he would have granted clemency. Enough said.
