Today, Senator Daniel Inouye, the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee and a recipient of the Medal of Honor for his service in World War II, released the following statement:
"As a Veteran of World War II, I know what its like to fight a war and put your life on the line every day. I also know what it takes to win a war, and I know that politics and an attack machine like the Presidents plays no part in it.
"The Republican Partys latest ad is a shameful and disgusting attempt to distract the American people from the problems in Iraq. It may improve the Presidents political fortunes, but the American people and our troops will pay the price. I hope that President Bush realizes how shameful it is to play politics when what we really need is leadership, and that he will direct his Party to take down this ad immediately."

That ad is DEVASTATING to the party of treason!
Every time and when you thought you'd left childhood and childish things behind for good. . .
They're sooooooooo predictable. In my memory it dates to the 1950s.
After months of taunts and torment from your brother / sister you respond and what happens? Your bother / sister runs to Mom crying and screaming, "make him stop, make him stop!"
Of course, the fact is this accusation against the President, et al. is another "issue" that is not the issue. Issues are weapons. The issue for the left is of course, "Bring it all down, man."
Unbeleivable!! they want to be able to say anything but God forbiid the President fight back. Makes me sick. Reminds me of the schoolyard bully and his friends, the bully keeps puncing and his friends hold the victim's arms behind him.
" Note to the Bush Admin:
Don't even think of taking this ad down. If you think the dust-up over Harriet Meirs was heavy, take this ad down and see what happens."
I was thinking the exact same thing.
In fact, the RNC should buy time during the Super Bowl and run it.
John Kasich was just on Fox demanding that this be taken down. He was " infuriated."
If the Republicans want to see the mother of all infuriated, they will cave to the Democrats .
As much of a Bushbot as I am, I fear we will soon see President Bush " take the high road " when pressed by some press corps dirtbag and denounce the spot.

McCain can STFU a little democrat he is.
(Denny Crane: "I Don't Want To Socialize With A Pinko Liberal Democrat Commie.Say What You Like About Republicans. We Stick To Our Convictions. Even When We Know We're Dead Wrong.")
The dims panties are showing once again. Girlymen---pfft.
I really wanted someone to challenge DeWine, and Kasich was suggested.
Some time has passed, I've observed him, and the guy might be even worse than DeWine. Good riddance to him ever finding his way back to politics.
If Scarborough and Tucker come out against this ad we'll really know it was effective. let all RINO's unite against showing the Dems as the cut and run caucus they are!
Well Sen. Inouye, if you know what it takes to win a war, then what are you doing in the Democrat party, which is actively pushing for withdrawl and defeat in Iraq? Many people in the Democrat party are doing everything they can to undermine the President and our armed forces in Iraq. They're eagerly hoping for an American defeat in Iraq to give their treasonous party a brief political boost. If you really support our troops and their mission in Iraq, then quit the Democrat party and become a Republican or at least an independent. Talk is cheap, Senator. I'm not going to believe anything you say until you leave the Democrat partly permanently.
Inouye sold his soul to the Rat political machine IMHO he has turned his back on his valor and service to tow the party line and uses all that to sell his talking points
Hey InNoWay....What have you done for us lately? Quit resting on your laurels, and tell your treasonous party to STFU!
DEMOCRATS:
No Vision...
No Plan...
No Solution...
NO SHAME!!!
Over 4 years since 9/11 and these bastards STILL don't have a plan??? WTF??!!!
Didn't someone over a year ago say "A litany of complaints is not a plan..." ?
The poor ol' democRAT, Inouye, has no concept of sedition and treason. He's completely blind to the offense that others of his party are committing.
It seems that disloyalty to ones country, in time of war, is a systemic trait of the democRAT party.
Ann Coulter on treating former military men with kid gloves:
What is this? Special Olympics for the Democrats? Can't Republicans disagree with a Democrat who demands that the U.S. surrender in the middle of a war without erecting monuments to him first? What would happen if a Democrat were to propose restoring Saddam Hussein to power? Is that Medal of Freedom territory?
I don't know what Republicans imagine they're getting out of all this love they keep throwing at Democrats.
We also know what Rep. Randy Cunningham, R-Calif., did to earn his medals. One of only two American Navy aces that the Vietnam War produced, Cunningham shot down five MiGs, three in one day, including a North Vietnamese pilot with 13 American kills. Cunningham never did something as insane as proposing that we withdraw troops in the middle of a war, but this week he did admit to taking bribes.
And yet, no Democrat breathed a word of Cunningham's unquestioned heroism before rushing to denounce him as "the latest example of the culture of corruption..."
PLAY THE ENTIRE CLIP where the idiot goes on to say "THAT'S THE JOB OF THE IRAQI'S". Without the entire clip, it is not his ACCURATE quote.
Should have read "...Iraqis should be doing that."
Apologies to Howlin and others...
Pretty much.
We have many people with medals pinned to their chests but they don't have to use those medals to prop up an indefensible position. I excuse RINO's who are as bad as the Dems in propping medlas. I don't think it would even normally occur to them to abuse the intent of the medals by making them campaign props.
I never heard of Johnson until the 403-3 vote and he puts this guy, Murtha, McCain, Hagel, kerry and all to shame. What does it say about the positions of these latter guys that they'd be nothing without the medals while it's clear Johnson stands on his own with or without?
One of these days the Dems are going to finally cop a clue that it isn't the medal or the uniform that makes the man/woman. It's about character. It's about certain tried and true values that they have abandoned. It's about love for country and service to something higher than self. Maybe some of them knew that once when they were in active service. But now they are in active POLITICAL service, and they don't get to escape the designation of POLITICIAN because in a past life they were something better.
