We will not be playing all the artists and versions that we have. We don't have the space, but we feel you'll get enough variations to enjoy yourself. Background Information: The Englishman, John Francis Wade, wrote both the words and the music, Adeste Fideles. The Musical score was first published in 1782 in Samuel Webbe's An Essay on the Church Plain Chant in 1782. John Francis Wade first included it in his own 1751 publication of Cantus Diversi. The lyrics were first published in 1760. If you hear someone using tissues, it's MoJo. This song has watery effects. To our British and Aussie allies, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Background Info: Joy to the World The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'Joy to the World' were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748). The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation. He wrote many hymns and Carols and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by the the University of Edinburgh in 1728. The music to the carol is by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759). MoJo Thought: Have you ever noticed while reading articles that when referring to GOD that many folks decide to write it *G-D*? What is that? Is it supposed to mean that it is less potent and offensive by keeping the *o* from appearing? My suggestion to these folks isn't to use God at all. If you can't add the *o*, don't write it. This is true for those of you that believe or don't.

Ok not children.
They are nuts. Construct delusions and expect everybody else to live in them.

Well, it might be fun. Getting all bundled up in our woolen hats and mittens, boots on our feet. Making the first footprints in the new snow. The trees are so full of snow that it's hard to tell which one is the most beautiful. It's a shame to cut it down. But, we do....and after bringing it in....the snow begins to melt and steam in the heat of the wood stove. Our noses are red and our eyes are watering. We are giggling like little girls.....

Cats!
Minette likes to fly past my legs and out the front door when I go outside..
She thinks she is getting away with something..
She tried that this afternoon..
Ran full tilt boogie right into a snow bank!
LOL
She turned around and ran back into the house meowing the whole time!

Howdy all, thanks EGPWS for your request!
That is definitely an illusive song, but I'm doing' some digging, and we'll see what we can come up with.
Have a great evening!

The USA has a very respectable Rugby team: if you Yanks ever decided to focus on Rugby as a sport -- the same way you focus on American Football or Basketball -- you would have a very, very scary team indeed. Your football players are HUGE and FAST. You've all the ingredients necessary...
American football will always rule America. Americans excel in sports we invented. LOL! You are right about what could happen if the focus to rugby was shifted from football in just the slightest. Too many Americans see rugby as a violent sport. I would have to say that hockey is more violent at times than rugby. It's the nature of the competition. In truth, American football is based from rugby. Things were changed obviously, but it many American football players could play rugby if they put their mind to it. Dan Lyle is a prime example of this.
When the United States turns things around, I hope all of them will remember what Dan Lyle has done for American rugby. He has gone into unchartered territory as an American rugby player. I hope someone will remember his sacrifices.
And Manu Samoa! Perfectly OK to cheer for those dudes, they will eventually play for New Zealand anyway. Way too much talent for their own good. Huge. Fast. The speed, the skills: it's actually unfair that there's such a high concentration of talent on such a small island dotted somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific. Manu Samoa rocks! Majorly.
I understand that they play for New Zealand eventually. It has definitely helped the All Blacks in the past and will continue to do so in the future. I'm saddened to see them leave and play for the All Blacks. I suppose that is the difference between American Samoans and Western Samoans. Playing for someone outside of America would be devastating for us. For Western Samoans, it is an opportunity of a lifetime and so they take it. I admire those that stay behind to play for Manu Samoa. I'm really ticked at the agreements that the European/English rugby clubs have with many of the South Pacific players. However, things won't change until someone raises hell about it.

Usually..
We find trees that are crowding each other and will die out anyway..
It's the top of it that we want..
I never touch the big gorgeous ones..
I take an old mop handle with me to shake the snow off the branches for a better look..
AND..
So that the snow doesn't fall into the neck of me jacket!
Brrr!!

Actually, I think the skerry, boxer and dean types lurk or may even post on DU. There are so many of their comments that are consistent with the rants on the DUmmie FUnnies.
Makes a person wonder what their DU screen names are - "also ran", "boxer shorts" and "scream'in deano".......
