We will not be playing all the artists and versions that we have. We don't have the space, but we feel you'll get enough variations to enjoy yourself. Background Information: The Englishman, John Francis Wade, wrote both the words and the music, Adeste Fideles. The Musical score was first published in 1782 in Samuel Webbe's An Essay on the Church Plain Chant in 1782. John Francis Wade first included it in his own 1751 publication of Cantus Diversi. The lyrics were first published in 1760. If you hear someone using tissues, it's MoJo. This song has watery effects. To our British and Aussie allies, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Background Info: Joy to the World The words and lyrics of the old Christmas carol 'Joy to the World' were written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748). The father of John Watts was a Non-conformist and so extreme were his views that he was imprisoned twice. His father's influence over Isaac was demonstrated when he choose to attend Nonconformist Academy at Stoke Newington in preference to a University. Watts was ordained as a Pastor of an Independent congregation. He wrote many hymns and Carols and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by the the University of Edinburgh in 1728. The music to the carol is by George Frederick Handel (1685-1759). MoJo Thought: Have you ever noticed while reading articles that when referring to GOD that many folks decide to write it *G-D*? What is that? Is it supposed to mean that it is less potent and offensive by keeping the *o* from appearing? My suggestion to these folks isn't to use God at all. If you can't add the *o*, don't write it. This is true for those of you that believe or don't.

Sort of like "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
I haven't gone back to that thread, but I know someone has posted the "whining dumbocrat symbol" by now.

Side Note:
"Boots" Faustin is a steel drummer and composer from Trinidad. I found this hilarious caylypso on Boot's Web site, and I think it's great. "Talaban, You must understand, Never, never mess with American! ... Talaban must look out, we're coming to get you no doubt!"

> I just read that Jonah Lomu is trying to come back.
Jonah is an amazing man, with astonishing capability. Alas! I do not think he is wise to try to be the Man he once was (that can never happen, sadly) but even in his diminished form, he is a formidable athlete who stands head-and-shoulders above most of us mere mortals. I like Jonah, and I wish him well. He should look now to his health and his family: he need prove nothing more to New Zealand and to Rugby, we are grateful for having him on our side.
> Since I'm too lazy to ask my cousins about it, what's going on with David Tua these days??
My favorite boxer, after Muhammad Ali. David Tua will rise again. He's had some issues with his "management" (trans: hangers-on and sycophants who have tried their best to rip him off, in my opinion) but he still packs a mean punch and could still beat the stuffing out of Lennox Lewis if Lewis ever came within Harm's Way. Tua's a genuinely nice guy, too. His is a great story of rags-to-riches-to-rags-to-riches-to...? I and most of New Zealand think he's the Cat's Ass and will, one day, become the Heavyweight Champion of the World.
(Me, I'd never fight him: I'm heavier and taller and I know that one good punch from Tua would put me in Hospital for many weeks!)
Muhammad floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee. Tua, well, he's more like a tank.
> Also, I haven't seen much news lately about *Goldie*. Is he still playing cricket or has he comeback to rugby yet??
Jeff Wilson has gone rather quiet, featuring in neither Cricket nor Rugby. An amazing talent, a prodigy. I remember his All Blacks Test Debut: I watched it in Wanaka with my wife's cousins on TV. That lad didn't run, he flew on Angel's wings, and danced around his opponents with the greatest of ease, skipping merrily over the line for a Try! Or, diving fearlessly face-first into the mud as only a True Son of Otago can. I loved to watch Wilson play the Rugby!
And he could do the Cricket at an International level, to boot! Last I heard he is married and settled down, seems to have lost a wee bit of hair to pattern baldness by latest photo. Dunno what doing. But Lordy! He was magic!
His dad was a prodigy, too.
> I still long to see the days of Sean Fitzpatrick and Zinzan playing again.
As All Blacks, it will never happen unfortunately. They are well past their time. But what magical players, and wonderful men! I met Fitzy, once, briefly: he has a presence about him that is almost like the Holy Ghost (no blasphemy intended!) You can feel his aura and know that *this* is a born Leader of Men. It was almost spooky. The Power radiated... yeah, that's it. He Radiates.
Cheers from DownUnder, mate!

YOU go out in that weather and find a tree...I'll stay in front of the woodstove and wait!....just kidding! We could have a snowball fight and when we find the right tree, have MR.B cut it for us and then decorate it with TAS's handiwork! *sigh*...I never had a sister before!
