I don't know, the lamps made from human skin kind of was enough for me, you know? Oh yes, and the movies of thousands of emaciated nude bodies being earthmoved into pits. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it happened.

And explain to me why the son has to answer for the sins of his father? Mel should tell them to go stuff it where the sun doesn't shine.

Any kind of evidence can be denied by anyone who is willing to spend all their time devising alternative scenarios that "explain" things the way they want to explain them.
More to the point, Hutton Gibson has every right to be an unbalanced victim of dementia.
His foolishness is not his son's responsibility and Mel Gibson has no obligation of any kind to explain himself to Rafael Medoff.
When did Medoff become the Chief Political Commissar of Australia?

Mel was born right here in the USA....not Australia...the father move the family way back when Mel was a kid....but any one who could make a movie like the Patriot...is all american in my book....
.................Mel should not have to answer for his father. even the bible says he must honor his father.

They did this same thing with Arnold. VERY unfair, and it would never happen to a Democrat in this country of course! They don't have to carry their family's negative past/present with them, or their own either!

The Dad is a schismatic Catholic. Pre-Vatican II disdain of the Jews was well known by Catholics. We grew up and realized that the thought process was wrong.
Mel loves the Traditional Latin Mass but I have never heard he was part of that vein of schismatic.
He should tell them to talk to his Daddy. Mel and Dad are not one person.

I have a bunch of in-law related family members that are clearly nuts. That doesn't mean my husband has to publicly disown them. btw, I have been to Dachau, and I got my book out just the other day when I read about the Katrina survivors likening their superdome stay to the concentration camps. They are just as pathetic as Mel's father. I still don't believe that Mel has to publicly disown his kook of a father.

a climactic "Braveheart-style" battle scene where thousands of Jewish and Nazi combatants rush at each other across an open field. Now that's a form of Holocaust revisionism that nobody has seen before.

gimme a break. anti-semitism is up all over the world...people are openly scorning jews, israel and the israeli desire for a homeland, and yet all of a sudden the opinions of some dude like mel gibson's ancient father take on gargantuan proportions and importance.
what a phoney scam these people are running. once again, selective memory.

Feel free to blame Mel's crazy old man, but don't blame Mel for what his Dad says, OK?
To: emiller
No doubt about it, Hutton Gibson is a whackjob.
Perhaps Mr. Medoff would care to tackle the many prestigious universities who deny other episodes of Jewish History, such as the six day creation, Noah's Flood, and the parting of the Red Sea.

It will be interesting to see this mini-series. Word has it it's about Christians who protected Jews in WWII.
While this is an admirable story in itself, I'm reminded of Stanley Kubrick's denouncement of Spielberg's "Schindler's List" --
"Six million Jews slaughtered and he makes a movie about the 600 who survived."

Like Schindler's List and even the Pianist, another "feel good" Holocaust movie.
How about a movie about those millions of Jews were not helped by anyone.
Just hunted for slaughter. Some surviving. Most not.

A WORLD authority on Hitler's Final Solution has called on Australian actor-director Mel Gibson to publicly repudiate the Holocaust denial of his father Hutton Gibson and to clarify his own position on the extermination of the Jews. I'll betcha this 'world authority' hasn't said boo about the recent comments from creep that runs Iran, ie. threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

...has called on Australian actor-director Mel Gibson to publicly repudiate the Holocaust denial of his father Hutton Gibson... Mel Gibson doesn't owe any explanations for his father's remarks, or anything else to this guy.
