Well hey, if the marshal had missed, it might have been an even bigger delay. I wouldn't want to fly on a plane with a bullet hole in it somewhere.

Thanks, Howlin. C-mom, I'll ping you to this thread so you can pick up on the story when you get back.
This is off-topic, but I've got to ask. I always wee all these BTTT posts, (back to the top of page) but I see no evidence that threads move anywhere. This thread has more responses than any around it, yet, it is right in chronological sequence.
Re the shooting:
Latest report I heard is that a person claimed to have a bomb, and started pushing forward in the line to enter the plane in the jetway. Probably a nutcase.
darn!
Keep your ears and eyes open! I know you have been doing a great job in the recent past.....
So far, a passenger was killed or only wounded by one or two air marshals on the plane or the jetway while boarding or deplaning on a flight from Colombia or to Orlando or both . . .
Dec 7, 2005 2:59 pm US/EasternA source tells CBS4's Jennifer Santiago reports a source tells her that this incident was not terrorism related, that a passenger aboard the plane announced that he had a bomb. Brian Andrews reports his sources say the incident happened very close to the front door of the Boeing 757, and got into a confrontation with two air marshalls traveling aboard the plane. Shots were fired over concern for the safety aboard the plane, Brian's sources say.
