See my post 96.
I love the picture..it adds the needed emphasis!
Good thing I put my flamesuit on. Hint.
Ridiculous rationale.
Yes...calling Florida et all a "state of the axis of evil"
DOES cover all Forida.
First...let me say AGAIN ..AND AS OTHERS HAVE SAID AGAIN..
Tampa/St Pete is very left. Also, they did not acquit...they could not convict on some charges and it was a hung jury on other charges.
Excellant post. And he is not out yet and there was a hung jury on many counts.
The Florida is 'evil" bashing was just so immature and stupid. Why don't you Maroons pound salt?
(next time I'll give you my opinion.ha.)
Most elegantly stated.
What does a "Not Guilty" verdict mean?
Not guilty means the prosecution could not prove its case beyond reasonable doubt. Acquited is "he didn't do it".
Hey, legal beagles..please advise if this is incorrect.
Oh, c'mon do you really think I was being serious?
#1 example of why those of us WITH A BRAIN need to report when called to sit on a jury!
If he is not guilty on 8 of 17 counts, hang him only 9 times.
This is happening in the western U.S. also. Zillions of people are retiring from California and infecting nearby states, changing the demographics toward the left.
The property values are so high in California that people can sell their homes, pay off their mortgages, and go pay cash for a nicer home at half the price in another state. Almost all my neighbors are relocated Californians who brought their political views with them to this once-conservative area.
BTTT
Actually, there were months worth of evidence and proof. I think this was a form of jury nullification, remember there are a lot of appeasers.
Read my post 89. Might shed some light on how I feel about the jury.
"Was it a liberal Hate Bush city?"Unfortunately we have a lot of dems in positions of influence, and Al Arian has received a lot of support from the StPete Times. The best case scenario at this point is that he's tried on other charges and found guilty.Worst case scenario, the government decides not to pursue the other charges and he gets his job back at USF.
Get real. Look around!
Did you live through the 60s?
Don't you remember
riots in the streets,
SDS bombing buildings,
drug use encouraged . . .
The country SURVIVED
all that. Pretty easily.
And, at the same time,
crushed the Soviets
in tough geopolitics.
Look around today.
MOST Americans
are reasonably happy.
The youth is in gear.
There's NO world power
like the Soviets to fight.
Business is booming.
Sure. Things ain't perfect.
Never are, never will be.
But you must be NUTS
to think the COUNTRY
will be undone by the crap
afflicting us NOW
when we have survived
SO MUCH WORSE that's come our way
for two hundred years.
Do you know what evidence was not admitted? The taped conversations that were admitted into evidence occurred in 1994 and 1995. The shut down of the investigation into Islamic charities by the Clinton administration occurred in 1995 (see post 191). Hmmmmm Lets see. What big event occurred in the United States in 1995? Oh, yeah. It was the Oklahoma City bombing of the Murrah Federal Building. What big cover up occurred? Oh, yeah, the connection of McVeigh and Nichols to Middle Eastern terrorists. Is it possible that Al Arian was tape-recorded talking about that attack or talking about the planning of that attack? Is this maybe the evidence not admitted that you are referring to? Just speculation on my part but the property manager involved in the bombing has been investigated for ties to the PLO. (As mentioned inThe Third Terrorist by Jayna Davis)
Sami Al Arian may have been acquitted in Florida, but I have no doubt that he has been convicted in Tel Aviv. It is only a matter of time before Al-Arian feels the "long arm of the people of Israel".
