Yesterday evening the President and his wife along with the Vice President and his wife attended a Gala at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts prior to the gala a reception for those honoured at this gala was held at the White House.
The annual children's holiday reception and performance was held in the East Room of the White House today, the President and the first lady attended the performance.
Today the President visited John Deere-Hitachi factory in NC and gave a speech on the economy and Tax Relief he also talked about pensions and social security
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice read a prepared statement to reporters before flying to Europe, she arrived in Germany this evening.
Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld gave a speech on 'The Future of Iraq' at John Hopkins, Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington and also met Philippine Secretary of the National Defense Avelino Cruz at the Pentagon

My Mom's knees are so bad, that even with her walker, she keeps falling .. her knees just give out. Makes us all so nervous and fearful of her breaking something, and she's been down for as long as an hour until my sis could come to pick her up off the floor.
She's in a senior residence, but she's fearful that if she bothers them too much, they won't let her stay. She had a shiner 2 weeks ago, too. It's SO sad 'cause she's so alert, good spirited and was active. I suffer with my knees, and I'm resolved to look into knee replacement after the 1st of the year. Her doc thinks she's too old for that surgery at this point. She's kicking herself because she resisted it for years, and now she's helpless to keep from falling. My Sis has decided it's time for a wheelchair.

Wow, you must have worked all night because I know there were a lot of others.
I did get that second one -- am on tenterhooks to know the disposition. (Seriously!)
I gave Sabrina Day #5's chocolate tonight -- she was quite pleased about that. It's fun to see Christmas through a child's eyes. The Christmas cards we made with the stamping kit you sent were a great hit with her family, teacher, and my friend Mike.
Tonight I got a verbal invitation to her birthday party March 8. You know how children live for holidays and their birhtdays! Honestly, I can't remember being this excited about going to a nine-year-old's party EVER.
does anyone have a tape of the W and Laura interview w/ Tom Brokaw from 2001 or 02'(not sure which yr) or the interview w/ Larry King in Dec of 2003. If so I'd be happy to pay for the tape and the shipping. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help me out...Thanks!!

He used to be gorgeous. Met him in person one time up at Lake Powell (his boat was by us at the fuel dock) and he is really short and has the skinniest legs I've ever seen.
I read that the Redford marriage was not so fine, that they divorced a few years ago.
*** I would love that gorgeous long coat she wore today .. except with a fur lined hood .. LOL.***

Sorry I'm so late answering. I ended up on the telephone with my dad and just got off. I went to the hospital today and the doctors told us that there is also a lesion on Sandy's lung, too. Tomorrow morning they will be doing a biopsy. Unfortunately, the first person who spoke to them about this was the pulonary specialist who had zip for a bedside manner. He got everyone very upset. Gloom and doom all the way. Then the neurologist came in and things got better. Fortunately.
So I had left a message for my dad and he called back just after you asked how things were. Dad really needed to talk - so we did.
Anyway, I'll keep you posted.
