This story was reported on Fox and Friends this morning.
Joshua Sparling just got to Walter Reed last week and received ONE letter from someone writing in a child's printing. Among other things it told him to die. The soldier has the card on the wall of his room. I know FReepers can counter this despicable action with some of our own letters.

Update: Since Joshua will undoubtedly be overwhelmed by America's response, please consider sending (instead of or in addition to Joshua) cards to these find troops:
Excerpt from Brian K. at FNC:

Same Bat-time, same Bat-channel.
I join in prayer for all our heroes and their loved ones!
It might have been written in a child-like scrawl but its definitely from a DUer
well cindy sheehan would be ever so proud . this is one of the most disgusting things i can imagine ...if a child wrote this then we've got a future sociopath up & coming. this is just plain evil!!
BTTT
Thank you for the information. Cards to each of the heros are going out today.
To Joshua? Sure, why not? Others have. Or you could send it directly to veteran-related groups like Freedom Alliance, Operation Uplink, or others. Thanks for caring!
Thanks! Cyber affection is always welcome (just don't tell the Mrs!) :-)
Actually, what Crazy Backpack Man said was it doesn't matter if the flag drags on the ground - it's better than wiping your behind with it (inferring that's what we do by supporting the troops and war effort). But he got a little too worked up and his true colors came out when I asked if he had served for that flag and he screamed, "No, I'm not a murderer!"
I was looking at the number of views/replies. It's refreshing.
Naaahhh. I'm sure you could find a room to suit your needs. Any of us locals would be glad to assist.
You may not be wearing uniforms, but it sounds to me like you and your wife are both proudly serving. And I thank you!
I've sent him a card. The thing that sent him the hateful card has a sickness caused by extreme adherence to leftist causes. It can only be described as mental illness.
Sending a card after work bump.

This is just so sick, it breaks my heart that any child could send such a letter.
