El Baradei: Iran only months away from a bomb
Jerusalem Post ^ | Dec. 5, 2005 | JP

IAEA chairman Muhammad ElBaradei on Monday confirmed Israel's assessment that Iran is only a few months away from creating an atomic bomb.

"If Teheran indeed resumes its uranium enrichment in other plants, as threatened, it will take it only several months to produce a bomb," ElBaradei told The Independent, according to Army Radio.

What's strange is that not only is Iran doing absolutely nothing to hide their intentions, they appear to be courting a military confrontation.

Iran is daring us to attack them -- they are counting on our fine Dems at home to stop the war, so they can laugh in our face.

"On the other hand," he warned, "any attempt to resolve the crisis by non-diplomatic means will open a Pandora's box."

Now let's see, who's leading the "Diplomatic Means Team"?

"In recent weeks, it appears that France has edged closer to accepting Iran's concessions. "Jacques Chirac is the one who's taking the Iranian proposal under consideration," one European diplomat declared.

Even the more recent Iranian defiance has invited further European diplomacy in terms of pressuring the United States to offer more concessions. A European diplomat visiting Washington stressed that "we would enhance these chances" for negotiating success "if we could add U.S. carrots."

ElBaradei has followed suit, saying, "I think in diplomacy if you offer more, you get more." In a clever move, Iranians have used their obduracy to provoke the Europeans to put more pressure on Washington than on Tehran"

Yeah but they are hoping a few of their friends shoot us when we have our back turned to them.

Honestly, what's going to happen if Israel strikes Iran at this point?

With the civilian casualties?

I honestly see the whole Middle East erupting in warfare in a worst case scenario.

"Exact quote from El Baradei: "I know they are trying to acquire the full fuel cycle. I know that acquiring the full fuel cycle means that a country is months away from nuclear weapons, and that applies to Iran and everybody else."

They are still trying to acquire the full fuel cycle...once they've reached that stage, then it's several months before they can assemble a Device.

Yea well, they can bring it. That would be nice, since gloves would come off. Israel's military could defeat all the neighboring Arab countries combined in an all out war, not to mention what we could do if the sword would be actually unsheathed. So. Bring it. Have it all go up in a total war. That'd be over in about a week, and we'd have an actual solution instead of the current piecemeal thing open to Dem's moaning and groaning.

Want to bet the UN doesn't even approve sanctions.

We can even narrow that down. Russia and France will veto any effort to sanction Iran. Russia just sold them an air defense system...wonder how long it'll take to have it installed. I bet that the threats of veto will last at least that long.

Great! Now Israel or the US will have to do something or accept a Nuclear Iran.

Oh, I don't think that they will keep their nukes. I rather imagine that they will give them to Israel as soon as they have the delivery system completed.

I think the titles would be more accurate if it were:

"Iran only a few months away from a bomb and a few days more from another bomb."

EL SUNNI...[Rolling Eye's]

Ya...El Baradei,
trail of whitewash....
[See Egypt and IAEA whitewash]

Why not bookends.....ya..why not...makes sense.
U.N. special envoy Lakhdar Brahimi is wisked in to rescue Fallujah from the Crusader and immediately 7 More Fallujahs spring up elsewhere in Iraq.
Poster child for Hypocracy inthat Brahimi was Algeria's foreign minister when they were slaughtering Muslim Brotherhood wholesale.
Then he shows up and lets the rats out and rebuffs the U.S. like he just came from the right hand of God to convey the Almighty's displeasure written in Gold leaf.

I'm not going to get carpal tunnel listing all the Sunni Treacheries which have occured and will.
ya...Post modern Treachery.....see Sunni.

Islam is in it for their own.

U.S. has to **un-entangle itself from this.

Sorry folks......F-16 sales and oil futures do not cut it here.
Never ending suffering and misery is all we will get from being friends with these children of the moon.

Clearly this is a mission for ... France.

You guys got any better ideas as to how to avoid all out warfare? I say send the Frenchies in there and let them do the bombing. I don't know how we'd ever get them to act, but man, it might work. Maybe give them some cheese or something.

Here is the deal:

Iran hs made all this noise about building the bomb, and they have the material etc to do it, but it is all a ruse.

Russia will sell Iran a bunch of nukes and Iran will acquire a lot of nuke capability, under the cover and guise that they developed these themselves.

Russia gets its hard currency, and Iran gets nukes real quickly.
