The sad fact is this:
Even if we decided to bomb them today, El Baradei would claim he never said it--2 years from now...just like all the lying scum terror-coddlers....

Regardless, we ought to level the sites we can--today...what is Iran gonna do--run an insurgency against us in Iraq??

Why is it that every time we have to use military force against the Middle East barbarians, people from the Middle East like ElBaradei are full of "gates of Hell opening" and "Pandora's box" talk?

that ain't no thang, they got them both off ebay

Good point. However, with the Defeaticrats you can't win with the US coming out safe and secure. THAT is not on their agenda, let alone their priority. All this time their mantra has been, " We aren't paying attention to the REAl THREAT: iRAN!

Now it will be, "oh, no...if we hit Iran, the whole world will end."

The Fifth Column won't let us ever win.

Yeah, and to think we could have spent the past 4 years preparing for this scenario, in a virtual environment that would have cost billions less!

Oh, please elaborate. How exactly should we have prepared and in what "virtual environment"?

The only thing you forgot with your post was something witty like "NO BLOOD FOR OIL", or "BUSH LIED, PEOPLE DIED!".

Troll.

Oh no, the E.U. talks in conjunction with the I.A.E.A. will make every effort to stop this from happening.
And I am young, tall dark and handsome.

Well, El-Baradei has his wish, and Iran will have the bomb shortly if it doesn't already.

No one will do anything. Talk is cheap and justifies everything. Chambrlain proved this.

Want to bet the UN doesn't even approve sanctions.

Not when the odds of that happening are less than the UN General Assembly (where we don't have a veto) calling for Iran to use its nukes on Israel and the US.

If this happens on Pres. Bush's watch, he is a miserable failure of a President.

The U.S. knew all of the physics behind atomic weapons...everyone else...everyone...merely works from copies, often stolen, of what we did.

You are mostly right. The British, however, developed their own A, and then H-bomb weapons, from scratch: with about 50 1 MgT "Yellow Sun" weapons in the front line during the Cuban Missile crisis. The British developed their own supersonic Bomber fleet (the early Valiant, then the superb Vulcan and Valiant designs) complete with UHF/VHF screamers to defeat MIG coordination and anti-SAM ECM.

The British and Americans evolved the Special Relationship(nuke-tech-sharing) at about the time both players were testing air-launched standoffs. I don't think either Blue Steel (UK) or Skybolt (US) were ever actually deployed - I guess they were both superseded by sub-launched weapons

I have an uneasy feeling that the French might also have developed their own nuke tech, rather than borrowed anyone elses. However: Le bombe neutron - only the French could make a deadly weapon sound so effortlessly gay

That would be nice, since gloves would come off. Israel's military could defeat all the neighboring Arab countries combined in an all out war, not to mention what we could do if the sword would be actually unsheathed. So. Bring it. Have it all go up in a total war. That'd be over in about a week, and we'd have an actual solution instead of the current piecemeal thing open to Dem's moaning and groaning.

This isn't 1972 anymore - And no Israel could not defeat the whole ME combined today (and they know it) - And it is completely foolish and reckless to suggest anything would be over in a week.

There is no intellectual merit whatsoever to such posts. The Iran situation is a very difficult one plain and simple.

Also, what I said means that they will be able to test in less than 2 years (if they are unhindered by outside parties such as us or Israel, which is doubtful). How much less is up for debate.

But what I said also means that they *won't* be able to test an atomic device in the next 6 months. So basically I've outlined a window for their capabilities, neither overhyping nor underhyping what they can do.

Agreed - You have an accurate overview from my view as well -

Does it matter after it is used? I don't think either nation would care once it (they) are detonated.

Speaking of the Dems, haven't heard their talking point on this one. Will they let the Pres take out an Iranian facility, effectivityly declaring war? Or will they let Iran make the first move and then blame the administration? ...I think I just answered my own question.

The biggest problem with the fact that they have not found WMDs in Iraq, is that now President Bush is hamstrung in acting on any intelligence on Iran.

I think this is a case where it would be best if our Israeli friends took the lead in putting an end to Iran's nuclear program.

Quote "What's strange is that not only is Iran doing absolutely nothing to hide their intentions, they appear to be courting a military confrontation."

Because Iran already has a nuke. They want to be attacked. Watch and see. They are not stupid.

ElBaradei has a bad habit of acknowledging these dangers when it's too late

This man should be fired and investigated
