Governor Blanco releases email that proves she asked for federal assistance.
Don't care about his freakin' tattoo either.
Actually that is my point....but like watching a good child turn bad....I keep hoping that they will find their way back (the weekend show).
Blanco's office scrambled to spin Katrina ^

Thanks, had to get ready for the spin onslaught!
This show is awful. Fashion segments, cooking demonstrations on the street. They've become the "Today Show". Thank goodness for "Washington Journal" over on C-SPAN
Thanks maggief, I'll add it to the list. You won't get a link to that following google!
I missed it.
As far as Blanco is concerned. 24 hours? That's crazy. You ask for buses months in advance. Where is FEMA or anyone else going to come up with 500 buses, just 24 hours in advance? This could of and should have been part of the state's and local government's disaster plans. In fact, it was- they just never implemented it. As we all clearly saw, buses were parked and later floating
Amen to that Randita,
I am an Ivan survivor and my area took the brunt of the hurricane.
It took FEMA about 4-5 days to set up shop for the Pensacola, Florida- Gulf Shores, Alabama area.
There was no looting, raping and murdering going on here.
You did not see the angry hate filled faces on television, blaming the President Bush for the hurricane and destruction.
The majority of the people in these areas pulled themselves up by their own boot-strap and banded together to assist other(s), without federal assistance.
Blanco, Nagin and Landrieu and the other NOLA representatives dropped the ball on this disaster, yet they employ the (DNC catch all) of blame others.
When dems are in charge we can always expect leaderless actions, anarchy, rising crime, promulgated racial tensions and finger pointing to cover their sorry communist asses.
Rebuilding NOLA should only be for the port of entry for imports and exports.
Why rebuild a public assistance welfare area back in NOLA? I would say that logic is like an elevator which fails to reach the top floor, over and over again.
I wonder were all those missing people on the welfare rolls/public assistance have vanished in NOLA? I would be willing to bet they never existed. This was just like five or six hundred non-existent police officers on the pay-roll.
I hope a federal investigation is in motion to bring all those to justice who continue to steal from America and the working people, who support our great country.
May Justice Prevail,

Did I just see them repair a burst copper water pipe with a hair dryer? Are they conjuring up black magic now?
I'd rather have someone like David Asman running the weekend crew. I really don't enjoy watching the weekend edition at all....Wonder what kind of ratings it's pulling in lately?
They are here in Houston....mischief & mayhem....11 murders last weekend.
Governor Empty Skirt is still more concerned about covering her sorry ass than in getting her State recovered.
One of her excuses showed how tough it was for her to schedule Oprah for some photo op. Wonder how Giuliani handled such pressure?
Elvis sings gospel on Sunday morning on Sirius. I don't bother with the "news" shows until that is over.
Well said! We were hit by Charlie, Frances and Jeane last year and nary a shrill voice from us! As you said, we pulled up the boot straps and started working to repair and replace. We didn't give a hoot about FEMA, we had Jeb!
He's gone beyond annoying to me. His little PC rants have driven me away. I just don't care to watch Fox and Friends weekends anymore and I know I'm not alone. I wonder how much longer it will be before the powers that be at Fox give him his walking papers?
