Kidnappers Threaten to Kill Iraq Activists

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Al-Jazeera television broadcast a videotape Friday in which kidnappers of four Christian peace activists threatened to kill their hostages unless all prisoners in U.S. and Iraqi detention centers are released. The kidnappers gave the two governments until Dec. 8 to meet their demands, Al-Jazeera quoted a statement delivered with the tape as saying.
The tape showed what the broadcaster said were two Canadian hostages. An American and a Briton are also being held. All four appeared frightened.
The Canadians were shown eating from plates of what appeared to be Arabic sweets. In a second clip, the British and American hostages were shown to talking to the camera but no audio was transmitted.
The two were calling on the U.S. and British governments to withdraw from Iraq, Al-Jazeera reported, quoting a statement from the kidnappers, who earlier identified themselves as the Swords of Righteousness Brigade

Rejoicing that AQ thugs are going to slaughter some Christians like farm animals was just too much for me. It wouldn't be very Christian of me to pray that he spews this garbage around someone who cares, but I've sure been thinking about it.

Myth No. 1: Islam is a Religion of Peace
Islam is a peaceful religion--for devout Muslims. Everyone else is marked for punishment, or "severe penalty," as the Quran puts it. Peace exists only insofar as non-Muslims submit to the word, or sword, of Islam. Until then, there is no peace. Just fighting, endless fighting. true believers fight for the cause of Allah. The Quran exhorts the faithful to "fight" -- even "slay" -- non-Muslims "in the cause of Allah."
Put another way, Muslims do desire world peace but only after the entire world is conquered in the name of Allah. Peace is reserved for them, while others pay for protection.

The absolutely best thing that could happen is that the "murdering baby killing" Marines rescued them and brutally killed the kidnappers in the process.

Yeah, in spite of the subject matter, one needs to get one's point across with a bit of civility in all cases. No one can see all sides of a particular situation (except for al franken, of course). Thats why I mentioned the apparent lack of maturity. Maturation has its upside!!!

I don't think that is funny at all. I guess all those stories about the murdered nuns in Central America or missionaries murdered in other parts of the world are a real yuckfest to you. Shame on you for making fun of their beliefs. They are Christian volunteers and they don't deserve to die because they don't agree with YOU.
