John Kerry on CNN (clarification on Dems' position)
CNN | 11/30/05 | libertarianPA

Posted on 11/30/2005 8:24:09 AM PST by libertarianPA

John Kerry was just giving a counter speech on CNN and clarified the Dems' position on the Iraq war.

He said (not an exact quote, but what he basically said):

All through the president's speech, there were references to some "imaginary deadline" for withdrawl. At no point did we ever propose a deadline for withdrawl. What we asked for was a timetable for success.

Oh! A timetable for success! Well! We have totally misrepresented the Democrat's position!

OK. Let's just pretend nothing ever happened.

I had to turn on the Weather Channel. My stomach can't take listening or looking at FnKerry.

At first, I thought you put the weather channel on to see which way the wind was blowing in an attempt to predict Kerry's position.

"Kerry would never say anything like this without polling data to show the President is starting to have an impact and a rebound in the numbers."

You're right. The WaPo published a poll indicating that something like 70% of those polled thought the dems were taking this anti-war position solely for political purposes AND that it was hurting the troops' morale, and about the same number thought we should finish the job in Iraq (i.e., the replacement of our troops with Iraqis as the latter are qualified to do so). And now we see the dems starting to do the usual 180 after they'be been found out.

Kerry thinks he's still a viable candidate for 2008. I'd like to know who's encouraging him to believe that.

If I had to pick someone to clarify a position that nobody understands, John Kerry would be the LAST person on Earth I would pick.

The President gave a kick butt speech today.

We see evidence of it because It drew the squealing 'cut and run beret squad' into the light.

WELL DONE MR. PRESIDENT!!

I think Bush could send them into retreat if he continues to make speeches like he did today. I only wish he had done this a long time ago, when the Dems were first starting to attack him.

One of the things that irks me about Bush is that he has the tendency to "be the better person" when the Dems attack him. When the better strategy is to fight back and show their hypocrisy.

Did you hear that fabricator talk about the best way to speak up for the troops? How does he have the gall to say something like that? Was he speaking up for them by comparing them to Genghis Khan.

He is completely out of touch with reality.

And thank you for your service in Vietnam.

Timetable for success? That's cute. I swear these guys have witty bumper sticker talking points.

The best I can say about John Fraud is he is the third worst senator, behind Schumer and Kennedy. But, he slithers in with them.

It looks like the party of vision has decided Murtha's call for immediate 'redeployment' isn't going to fly, so they sent out the great communicator to clarify their position. Seriously, even loyal Democrats must find their leaders' BS hard to swallow.

Kerry is a disgusting traitor and an even bigger pathological liar than Clintoon (take your pick).

He's a bumbling, opportunistic, lying sack of excrement, all the qualities looked for in a Democrat Presidential candidate, thank God Nader was the 3rd party and not Perot!

(Sorry Perot-ites, if it wasn't for him Clintoon and his cigar would have been sexing up the Arkansas Governor's mansion, not the White House)

Even tah-ray-zah has already changed her name back from "Heinz Kerry" to "Heinz".

Thanks for reminding me why I so dislike John F. Kerry (D-Hanoi) so very much.

Is there any chance he could just STFU for now and evermore, or am I just a sunny optimist?
