Bush Outlines Border Security Plan
Monday, November 28, 2005

CRAWFORD, Texas — Trying to unify a fractious Republican Party headed to midterm elections with wide differences over how to best deal with illegal immigration, President Bush was in Tucson, Ariz., on Monday to say America shouldn't have to choose between a welcoming society and a lawful one.

"Securing our border is essential to securing our homeland. And I want to thank all of those who are working around the clock to defend our border, to enforce our laws and to uphold the values of the United States of America. America is grateful to those on the front lines enforcing the border," Bush said at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in the first of two speeches on border control.

"How many YEARS would such a wall take?"

How many years will pass and there will still be no wall in place if nothing is done?

The good thing about you FROBL members is that you keep making the same lame arguments over and over again - and do nothing except convince the undecided that your position is wrong.

There are fences going up and more planned.

That's what I want to see.

And Bush didn't rule out signing any bill out of Congress calling for more funds for fences.

How about taking each and every ILLEGAL captured and make their sentence be building the southern wall? That way they can indeed work....that is why they come right?

They are not a US citizen. There is no law giving them citizenship. Only a mis-reading of the 14th amendment by liberal judges.

If you want to do an actual search, you can see the 'original intent' of the author of the 14th amendment relating to illegal aliens.

It was never meant to apply to those here illegally.

Talk is cheap. Bush has no solution because he has to ride the political barbed wire fence. The Democrats will fight against anything he proposes to change anyhow.

A real change to deterr illegal immigration is to severely penalize employers who hire illegal immigrants.

A real change is that ENFORCING the current laws can solve the problem. Too many people in positions of responsibility are looking the other way when they could be really making a difference.

A real change is that American citizens need to be more vigilant and press Law Enforcement into acting upon citizen tips.

No problem. It has been WELL documented.

www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalrelease.html

"A new study from the Center for Immigration Studies is one of the first to estimate the impact of illegal immigration on the federal budget. Based on Census Bureau data, the study estimates that households headed by illegal aliens used $10 billion more in government services than they paid in taxes in 2002. These figures are only for the federal government; costs at the state and local level are also likely to be significant. The study also finds that if illegals were given amnesty, the fiscal deficit at the federal level would grow to nearly $29 billion."

that's one of the things I thought of.

Also seizing assets of those here illegally. That can be used for enforcement or building a wall.

"Offer a bounty of $100 each."

Jeez, I could quit work and just write down plate numbers of every 1987 Toyota pickup with a lawnmower in the back. I'd make at least two or three thousand a day. Then I'd start on the guys with the MS13 tattoo's who hang out on my jogging trail.

More people should make calls and send mails. I think we need a better set up for doing so and a way to monitor how tips are handled.

"Where the hell else in the world does a country give away the farm like we do here in the US."

If you mean giving residency (or at least expediting it) to people with children born within their borders, most countries do.

I like what the President said, but there are glaring dishonesty in what he said as well.

I take it he didn't mention his Social Security Totalization Agreement with Mexico?

Aw, shucks. He's far too modest.

Bush had his appointed Social Security Commissioner, in June, 2004, sign a totalization agreement with Mexico that will, among other things, allow:

Now I wonder why didn't he mention this?

"Conservatives are not a small minority. They make up a substantial constituency. This constituency is, and can be, more powerful than the leftist Hispanics who want the invasion to continue and want to form a new Mexico and an exclusive Mexican identity here in America."

Sad to say, Bush is either the most obtuse President since Carter(the worst we ever had), or he is into an evil, globalist mode. I can't crawl inside his mind, so I will just say this. If this invasion is not stopped, and soon, it won't matter who is on the Supreme Court, it won't matter about social security, or our schools, because our culture and identity will have been plundered by riff raff who have no allegiance whatsoever to America.
