What exactly is Zot?
Posted on 11/27/2005 8:57:27 AM PST by SDGOP
What exactly is it when people or mods say zot on some of these threads? I've been noticing it lately but never really figured out what it was for?
Thanks..

Once zotted, can the moderators un-zot you? ie can you be pardoned?

You can tell what ZOT means if you use context clues-- an old reading trick.

It's basically the banning of a troll. I never could get used to the word "troll". These folks are disruptors.

I signed up to DU and got Zotted after my 2nd reply. I must be getting soft in my middle age. I was hoping to be zotted right out of the gate.

can you be pardoned? Yes, but it involves complex rituals involving stuned beebers, cheese and getting a moose to bite your sister.
And lightning, don't forget that part.

Once zotted, can the moderators un-zot you? ie can you be pardoned? That would imply the moderators can make a mistake.
