Heh! Zot is the sound that lightning makes in the BC comic strip. I first read it in 1962. Then, for many years as our boys were growing up, Zot was the name of my character in Dungeons & Dragons games (Zot was a lawful-good magic user). When I signed up for FR several years ago, it hadn't been taken, so I entered it as my nicname here. Later, ZOT took on its special meaning in FR as the lightning-bolt by which the moderators dispatch trolls and disruptors.
